I just hope this is not the start of what we have all been dreading an injury troubled season for Aguero. Bearing in mind he has only played 4 matches.

I think it's just to stop him traveling half way across the world for a meaningless match. 

Pep would rather have him here, resting and injury free.

Early reports are Mariner didn't see the elbow..

So will he be dropped for missing something so clear in front of him?

Mariner also failed to give the left back a 2nd yellow card for clear cut yellow card offences. It happens time and time again when a player gets away with a warning rather than a 2nd yellow just because he's already in a yellow.
