Aguero injured again...

Bad news for him, maybe a blessing in disguise for City as he may now get the proper rest he needs to get fully fit.

This seems to be becoming a recurring theme with Sergio....to be honest i'm getting slightly worried about this now.

Same with Vince too, he's got another strain too and is to be rested for Belgiums last game.

Players are always picking up slight knocks. I'm sure we all played games when we were not fully fit.

I'm not overly worried yet. If Belgium and Argentina make them play and aggravate am injury, that's where we could have huge problems especially since we can't just go and buy a replacement.

Ham string and calf/thigh strains every time they play more than 2 games in a row doesn't sound like picking up slight knocks Dawg. It sounds like the sort of problem that needs seriously resting and given the chance to get sorted properly. I never played football seriously because i wasn't good enough but these continual recurrences of the same injuries sound more serious than you suggest. Slight knocks don't sideline you for 4-6 weeks which is what was happening during the season although i'm not sure the current injury is that bad yet.

I think it is a worry also...normally, they'd have the summer to rest those niggling injuries, however, not now with the world cup.

I'd much rather Aguero had a tear and sat out the rest of the tournament and be back fit for pre-season. He'll no doubt be rested, but if Argentina go through to the semi's, he'll be guaranteed to play...and the later in the tournament, if he picks up a tear, the chances of a good pre-season go out of the window.

Why are we buying MFs and strikers when the defence needs shoring up?

We just bought another midfielder Fernando ok he's a DMF but now we are apparently favourite to sign this 21 year old Argentinian lad Zuculini. I hope we don't use up all our budget and squad allocation without strengthening the defence cover.

This lad cost us £1.5m..........I'm guessing we'll get at least £8m for Rodwell....so leaves more in the kitty and he'll be on half the wages of Rodwell...so makes sense all round.

Well if we can offload some players like Rodwell to patially fund new signings we should be ok i guess but i would still prefer to see the defence strengthened.

I'm sure they will.....I've got a feeling Mangalla is a done deal.
