Spurs v City - Live Thread
Wow, this is going to be a very tough game. Let's hope they've rested as some of the players looked tired the other night.
For me:
Bravo
Sagna, Stones, Ota, Clichy
Fernandinho, Gundogan
Navas, Silva, Sterling
Aguero

Yeah, forget the records, 1-0 will do me, almost happy with a point

Re: Spurs v City - Live Thread
I honestly think a point would be a good result. I fancy Spurs for a push for the title this year...they play in a very similar way to us.
Think the wide play may be the key for each team today.
I'll post the team at 14:15.

Good article today by Ollie Holt (City fan) on Raheem Sterling.

I think both sides would be happy enough with a point

'If a team has three Fernandinhos, they would be champions,'
Pep's praise for Fernandinho.

That says one thing about Pep....he picks a team to suit his style of play and not what the opposition will do.
I'd have had Clichy and Sagna every day of the week against their pace....but, that's why Pep is Pep.

I would have rotated the fullbacks seeing as they both look knackered last time but, I think Fernando was a good defensive addition & will give Fernandinho licence to get forward.

Agree SB....Gundogan didn't have his best game against Celtic, but I guess he wants to win that pressing, midfield battle.

Navas FFS, would rather he had given Sane a start. Means Raheem on the left. More than take 1-1 now, this isn't our best side by a long way.

When did we sign Rather Scott? Is he our new left wing wizard?
See Stoke have just equalised at the swamp - the welsh messi as well!

I would have Sterling either on the right or through the middle. Don't like him on the right, but let's hope he does the business today. Navas picked for his defensive duties?

Guess that's 'fat finger syndrome as well Dawg'...you would have Sterling on the right, but you don't like him there?

And stuff those that had Ibramovich as their captain in the FF league...

Ok we all know that Navas has suspect crosses. & absolutely zero end product. The thing is he does have pace & does win corners which could be the difference against Spurs.

Still think this is Zabba's last year. He isn't quick enough.

Spurs have got plenty of energy and are really up and at us. Everyone will be doing the same as Celtic.

I think, in games like this, where we are under pressure, you can see who can't make it under Pep. Kolarov and Otamendi have looked pretty good this season, but they are looking like they did last season.

Re: Spurs v City - Live Thread
It's garbage. Not one player in that team can hold the ball for more than 5 seconds....
Kolorov?
I can see why Fernando is in there, but he's no legs or speed of thought....so it's all pedestrian.
Worried about Zaba - he looks like he's running in quicksand.
