WBA v City - Live Thread
MUST MUST MUST WIN GAME.....3 POINTS IS NEEDED.
I'd like us to be clinical and create plenty of chances, will also help if we cut out the errors at the back.
Too much to ask?

Subs; Willy, Vinny, KDB, Navas, Clichy, Kelechi, A Gracia
Obviously worried about their height - bringing in Fernando.
However, I'm more concerned about Gundogan. He needs to be moving that ball much quicker than he has been.

pplf will not be happy no maffeo & Kolarov in a back 3, I must admit I was hoping for Maffeo to start & we have 1 up front against their giants so hopefully we wont be pinging hopeful crosses in the box. We may see a different Gundogan today with Fernando in the side.

Because he did exactly the same thing he did against Bournemouth, put his forehead in to the face of a WBA player

not really much movement there this time.. if ref sees it as that it should have been red..

Re: WBA v City - Live Thread
Far better start. Passing has been good.
Wow.....what the fuck is Nolito thinking of? Any other ref would have sent him off and deservedly. Stupid idiot. Does he not learn???
Silva looks like he's took a knock to his hip, but may be OK to continue, or bring KDB on.
Aguero....anyone still think he's got a problem?
Stones and Nolito should have both scored and we could be out of sight.
Sterling has been excellent and Fernando has done really well as a MF come RB...
Good pass from Gudogan for the 1st goal, but he's still a little too slow in moving the ball forward or looking for that killer pass to open them up.
Overall, that's much better - but Nolito? What a cock.

Re: WBA v City - Live Thread
we discovered that Gundogan, Silva and KDB can't play the attacking mid role together, 2 out of the 3 seems to be the trick...
I didn't see much in Nolito's this time, not a headbutt from my angle..

Re: WBA v City - Live Thread
Definite red card....the rule is you can;t put your head to another players....why even bother doing it, he'd won the free kick and their player got a yellow card?
It wasn't with as much force as the last one, but when you walk towards a player and them place your head into theirs, you're only asking for trouble.

Re: WBA v City - Live Thread
Think the ref has been spot on so far stupid from Nolito, but come on it was pretty minimal the yellow was desent not his head movement. Other than that thought his play was really good another fanatstic display from sterling even Kolorov has done allright.

screw me sideways, is there a single foul we have committed that hasn't been booked?
they should have 9 men already with consistency.

Re: WBA v City - Live Thread
Great performance....well done Gundogan for being in the right place for those 2 goals. I gave him a little stick for his passing overall, but 2 goals, can't ask for much more.
Aguero, not sure what to say that I haven't today, yesterday, all week - to the criticism and rumours.
Big shout out for Fernando today - thought he was excellent.
Order resumed....and the rags down to 10 men, draw 0-0 at home to Burnley....

Re: WBA v City - Live Thread
TBF....Stones, Nolito and Gundogan should've scored more goals....they had a spell of 15 mins where we weathered the storm and then as they tired at the end, we picked them off. 4-0 was probably harsh - but like I said, we did miss some sitters in the first half.

Re: WBA v City - Live Thread
I think most of you won't agree with me, but I think this vindicates pep's decision to play the B team for the cup. The moaning one is not looking so clever now after going 0-0 at home to Burnley. The cup was important to MP because it was his first bit of silver wear I get that, but given the choice I would rather lift the FA cup TBH. Looks like we will get through our group ok in the CL ok, but think we will get knocked out by Real Madrid in the next round can't say I'm that fussed though the PL title is there for the taking & we can look to go further in other competitions next season.

Re: WBA v City - Live Thread
Just read most threads & I have to say as most have I can't believe Nolito's stupidity, He was lucky to escape a yellow but then to carry on like a pork chop to the ref & player after the booking was madness. Did anyone see Aguero come in & give him a talking to & push him away, I was wondering why Silva as captain & Spanish didn't have a strong word with him? also come to that, pep, as it was right in front of him.

Re: WBA v City - Live Thread
I can see why stones has only 1 prem league goal in his career so far after that miss. I was going to say I thought Fernando was really good yesterday but west Brom seems his favorite team he has 3 goals in 4 games against them, Still not a brilliant performance looked a little bit more dodgy when they brought Leko on & played 3 at the back but I cant say I was to flustered as we looked reasonably comfortable. I have an instant dislike to that pratt Mclean. loved leaving a foot in & always crying foul for the slightest touch also couldn't stop whining to the ref at every opportunity.
