Re: City vs Burnley - LIVE!!!
Great effort from the 10, ref was pathetic, and Bravo is a clown.
Just seen Pep on news and he's not happy.
Good 3 points with dippers drawing, come on the hammers & Spuds now.

Why on earth couldn't we put it that sort of effort in with 11 men?

Re: City vs Burnley - LIVE!!!
Just seen Pep's post match interview with the Beeb. He's seriously cheesed off with the red and the goal. He says it's a foul on Bravo. Someone needs to tell him it was the second effort that was the goal and not the bundle out of Bravo's hands.

Re: City vs Burnley - LIVE!!!
I have just watched the whole game & boy after reading a lot of your comments I guess you would only have seen the incidents once. Sterling stubbed his toe most definitely. When he went down he was not looking or appealing for a penalty he went down before he even came into contact with the keeper so to try & say it was a dive & he was looking for it is plain wrong.
Superb finish from aguero.
Good goal from clichy with his RIGHT FOOT. Thank god he wasn't taken off at half time.
Itchy was just plain crap. He really must try & learn to hold up a ball otherwise he will never be more than an impact sub especially now we have Jesus in the ranks.
Brilliant save by Bravo at the end as much as I don't like him it was a good save. Also in the first half the save where he kicked it away rather than pick it up was probably due to the fact two players both hit the ball at the same time and I would definitely say he thought it could well have been construed as a back pass.
There goal was given because the ball went in off the underside of the bar from Ben Mee. the incident with Bravo was from the rebound off the bar so heading the ball or nudging it out of Bravo's hands was Irrelevant the goal had already been scored.
Finally I agree Mason is a class one Twat but the worst ref at the Etihad so far is still in order (1) Anthony Taylor v Chelsea (2) Andre Marriner v West Ham. Mason now goes into 3rd place. Just waiting for Mike Jones & Stuart Atwell to turn up.
That is my take on the game Oh yes & navas is shit.

Yeah, fair summary Oz. Thank god he didn't take Clichy off like I suggested!! It wasn't because he was poor, I just thought we may have needed to go to a 3, but as much as some skate it, Pep got it spot on with 10 men.

And it seems another 'rank' decision by Mike Dean to send off Fouhgali against the rags after 15 mins...according to Niall Quinn.

Re: City vs Burnley - LIVE!!!
We were kidding about Sterling Oz
If Pep farts, some will say it smells of roses! He got it wrong at the start of the game. We lacked intensity and Navas shouldn't even get near the 1st team squad, let alone start the game. Fernandinho's sending off and Itchy's missed chances kind of forced Pep's hand. He had no option but to take a risk with Sagna further up the pitch and get Silva on the pitch. If it was such a great inspirational idea, why didn't he start the game like that?
We got lucky, but we did work much harder in the 2nd half and deserved the win.

So I guess he was lucky in the first 10 games and that was all about his hand being forced, lucky against Barca?
So, what is your actual opinion of Pep?

Re: City vs Burnley - LIVE!!!
Lucky, lucky, lucky (x10). Remind me who we played in those 10 games... He out did Jose, but I think you'll find most of those teams we beat are still near the bottom of the table.
Sunderland (18th)
Steaua (rubbish)
Stoke (15th)
Steaua (rubbish)
West Ham (13th, but in the bottom 5 when we played them)
Utd (6th)
BMG (14th out of 18)
Bournemouth (9th, but in the bottom 5 when we played them)
Swansea EFL (20th)
Swansea (20th)
We smashed Barca and played very well in both games. He was just unlucky against Spurs. And Leicester. Sarcasm aside, he was very unlucky against Chelsea as we battered them but couldn't score the goals we deserved.
I think Pep is too conceited and arrogant and pig headed. I've said similar before. If he wasn't those things, Joe would still be here (it's not just about Hart) and we'd be top of the table.

But he does have something about him which is why players want to play for him. He better sort things out or some of his shine will be tarnished.

Re: City vs Burnley - LIVE!!!
I don't think he is arrogant, conceited or pig headed. I think his style of coaching has brought him accolades with Bayern and Barca. He hasn't had enough time with us and he certainly hasn't got the caliber of players that Bayern and Barca had at his disposal. We have aging defenders - and need some younger legs. Aguero, Sterling and KDB and particularly Silva - will do very nicely under Pep. Gundogan showed promise and I think Sane has too. I believe this is a transformational year for us - with Pep adjusting to the Prem and the number of games (particularly December/Jan) and with an inherited squad with some just not good enough.
Definitely disappointing when we lose or draw but I think he is the man to take us to elite squad status, given time.

Agree Wensdi.
Dawg, answer me this: "should we have won against Boro, EFC and Soton?? All games we absolutely battered the opposition..missing penalties etc. We're those draws anything to do with poor management by Pep?
Can Pep legislate for 2 players missing 14 games due to ooor discipline...two of our best players? Can he legislate for his number one signing rupturing his cruciate ligament at a time he was just hitting his stride? What about the club captain?
I'll definitely say he got the Bravo/Hart situation wrong...but he won't change that, so we can't keeper harping on about one player. Hart made plenty of howlers for us last season, let's not get all glassy-eyed about him. Yes, I'd rather have Hart, but it's not going to happen.
Those 3 games would have given us an extra 6 points and we'd be all over Chelsea now. Some things are out of the Managers hands...poor reffing, missed pens, injuries, bad luck...personally, I'll wait until I see 'his' squad next season before writing off a manager that won 21 trophies in 7 years.

Re: City vs Burnley - LIVE!!!
I get all that bluey but you guys complain about our d fenders and then just gloss over the fact that even we as dumb fans knew it. Pep didn't sort it out in the summer. He bought in other areas of the pitch instead. If a player gets 3 red cards in half a season you can't blame the manager for those red cards but the manager has to ask why our players are diving in dangerously and put a stop to it. Kompany couldn't be relied upon to stay fit so we should have got two CBs, not just one young one. And where have all the academy kids gone?

Re: City vs Burnley - LIVE!!!
Kolorov was given a chance and we were all surprised by how good he started the season. Zaba has been in and out, Clichy has done ok and Otamendi, as much as I think he's still not a great player, has actually been one of the better defenders lately.
He can't make 8 changes to a squad within a few weeks and expect them to gel. We're still trying to integrate Sane, Gundogan and next up Jesus.
He'll buy 4/5 more players in the summer and we'll see a completely different side.

Re: City vs Burnley - LIVE!!!
He'll buy some very expensive players in the summer and you'd expect quality players to perform rather quickly. MP maybe got lucky in his first season with us as he had the very good leftovers from Mancini. Maybe Pep's leftovers aren't as good. But, when we play with intensity, moving the ball around quickly, we are still the best team in the league.

Sorry Oz I disagree. He dived looking for a penalty. He was clear through and realised he wasn't going to score so he made a clumsy attempt at winning a penalty, he didn't appeal because he knew it would be a booking. There can be no other excuse, no one falls down like that for no reason at all. Stubbed his toe.....my arse.
