The Media is at it again!
I see on the official web site that the
Club is suing The People over an article by Steven Bates in today's
paper. I did find the article on line and, as usual, it is an
unsubstantiated slur on Mr Cook and on the Club. According to Mr
Bates – and without any evidence whatsoever – he
claims that City were already investigating their CEO before this
business with Dr Onuoha mysteriously came to light after 11 months.
According to Mr Bates – who I am sure must be related to Hans
Christian Andersen – our latest acquisition on the board wasn't
really to help get rid of deadwood but was to investigate the use of
private jets and limousines, the cost of which was supposedly
spiralling out of control, the inference being that this was all down
to Mr Cook. I must admit I find myself totally exasperated at the
lengths these newspapers will go to to get a negative slant on
Manchester City. I'm pleased to say I wouldn't use any of the
Sunday newspapers as toilet paper and hope that one day we might
begin to see some balanced reporting – not just about Manchester
City but on all matters. I don't think I'll live long enough to see
it and I sincerely wish that more newspapers would go the way of the
News of the World – bloody good riddance.

Re: The Media is at it again!
Made me laugh out loud - with the Hans Christian Anderson bit Norfolk Blue. At least he commentators on the matches have been really positive about us playing "sublime football" at times, particularly yesterday - although most of 'em have been complimentary since the addition of Aguero and Nasri.

Re: The Media is at it again!
it appears
it is believed
it is thought
Cook is believed
Cook’s wife Wendy and their two children returned to America in July – prompting speculation that Cook would follow.
What an utter load of bollocks

Re: The Media is at it again!
The statement is under "News" and "What the media says". Save you looking it up TD it actually states:
The club are seeking to redress fundamental inaccuracies, the
distortion of facts, and a breach of basic journalistic good practice in
a number of articles in today's media reports. In some instances legal
action will be pursued, notably in the case of an article in The People
by Steve Bates.
