Maybe it would have been risky, but why couldn't we have tied the Bernardo and Mendy deals together? The money would have been huge (but lower than buying them individually) and we could have got them both over the line by now.

Monaco are in the position that they are getting tons of money in for the stars they are selling so feel they can play hard ball with us, or anyone else, now.
