Lanzini charged for diving

Nobend Moyes defending him. It was so obvious.
But he still won his team a penalty and the score was 0-0. Don’t know what would have happened if he’d got his deserved yellow card instead.

So if this can be looked at again...why can't Kane and Ali's tackles?

Re: Lanzini charged for diving
because of the wording on the diving rule.. ref didn't spot the dive and they benefited..
the tackles were seen by the ref and given as yellows.. end of the matter...
...unless of course you are Sergio Aguero and MoTD decide the ref should be pressure into admitting they got it wrong or "didn't see the full severity of the incident"..
as they cannot re-referee an incident, they can look at it if the ref admits he got it wrong in a way...

It's all very confusing.
Generally, if a ref sees an incident, and awards a yellow card, nothing more can be done unless they say they didn't see the severity of the incident. Ben Thatcher springs to mind.
If the diver's team don't benefit, then a yellow card is sufficient.
But it's absurd. Lanzini's team benefitted with that penalty. It was 0-0 up til then. Who knows what might have happened after that. Even a yellow isn't good enough. i think that the diver should automatically receive a one match ban or, even better, be sent off immediately. Use a video ref if you have ti for this.
It was worth the risk for Lanzini. The worst case scenario was that he'd receive a yellow card. He will probably be banned for two games now, but his penalty helped quite possibly earned his team extra points.
Just think about it. Last game of the season and you need to score to stay up. 2 minutes to go. Why wouldn't someone dive and try too win a penalty? They'll only receive a yellow or retrospective ban next season.
Poorly though out rules.

It's all bollocks.
Just because the ref saw it shouldn't mean the end of it (Ok, I know it does), but the evidence and seriousness of the fouls is clear for all to see.
Kane and the utterly detestable Ali are now fine to go and commit similar challenges in the very next game...how is that right?

Kev went down far too easily BUT until refs give penalties for every penalty incident, players feel they need to go down.
Look at the Rose push on Mangala as a prime example. Clear cut penalty but the ref gave nowt. If Mango had fallen over dramatically, maybe he'd have got the penalty.
Players feel they need to exaggerate to make up for shit refs.
