Aguero will be lucky to see another season unless he pulls his finger out. If ever we need Sanchez...another game like today shows why we should go all out to get him
And  I still thought Gundogan was good today in the 2nd half Your stream must have kept stopping when he did something good LOL

It really does depend on the player.

Naturally, we give Kev more leeway than Ilkay. If Kev had had a nondescript first half, then we'd have given him a chance. If he'd played that quick free kick, we'd have lauded him for his quick thinking. If he'd played the backheal to aguero, we'd still be talking about in his highlights reel at the end of the season.

So we tend to praise those we prefer a little more and cut them more slack than those we prefer less. It's only natural.

But he didn't apart from those 2 instances. Neither did Sergio - and neither have for some time....oh, and don't misquote me...I said "if he doesn't pull his finger out, he could be off in the summer"...but hey, guess it's better than the truth.

Good to see you said "the 2nd half" Tony....as I said, always easy to to post after the game.   Wink

Oh, and my stream was pretty good to comment about how good his back-heel was...but feel free to mention all the other great stuff he did...1st OR 2nd half apart from those 2 things.  Razz Razz Razz Razz Razz

Yep, you're probably right.

PL Stats:

Gundogan - 25 games, 4 goals, 2 assists

KDB - 135 games, 35 goals, 50 assists

I think we've all called out KDB when he's not been playing well..which, he hasn't been as effective lately as he has been in the earlier months of the season...but, Gundogan has had plenty of chances lately, and the fact we have witnessed those 2 assists in 5 minutes...in all the games he's played, are the only things we can actually remember about his performances, sort of says it all...but only IMO.  Very Happy

Funny how I rarely say anything negative during the games....but seem to offend so many with my opinion at HT and FT!!  Razz Razz Razz Razz Razz Razz Razz Razz Razz

personally, when i try to compare players, i prefer to look at minutes played (rather than games) and strikeout goals from penalties and free kicks as well as assists from free kicks.
