A bad few days
Why is the world so shitty at times?
We had this 9yo girl in France that disappeared at a wedding last summer. They found her remains this week and they've got the guy that killed her.
We've had that terrible shooting in Florida where 17 people died.
We've had some horrific revelations about abuse in football. Some stories are absolutely harrowing. I can't even get to the end of articles.
How have we got to such a bad state of affairs in the world?

Re: A bad few days
well that is the way of the world at the moment no rhyme or reason for half of the tragic events that happen. Whilst City were due to play on Tuesday night ( early Wednesday here) I woke at 2.00am 6.oopm uk time with really tight chest pains. Went by ambulance to hospital at 02.30am underwent a multitude of tests and now have to see heart specialists etc to be certain nothing wrong. got home at 1.30pm the weds afternoon. So much for happy valentines day!!! The only bonus was I had my phone with me so was able to keep up with the match.
My point was no matter what is going on in the world tragic as it maybe, there is always something closer to home more important to you & your family.

Yeah All the best from me as well Oz
I guess shitty things have always happened around the world but we hear about them through the media a lot more now. If you look around the continents there are wars, genocide, terrorism and death and destruction going on in all of them. We live in a truly fucked up world and the sad thing for our children and their kids is, it's probably only going to get worse

Hope all turns out well Oz.
The world really is a shitty place at times. We've even had some saddo sexually assaulting and trying to rape a 10yr old girl in Openshaw last week too.
Until Governments implement stronger penalties for these people unfortunately they'll continue to happen.
Personally, I'd like castration or the death penalty brought back in for paedos.

My mum used to always say ..."put them in a locked room with a load of female relatives of the victim, and they'd make his death sentence far worse than a lethal injection or hanging".
I used to think she was mental, but I now agree.

Thanks for the well wishes guys i'm pretty sure I will be my old self soon enough. Always been as fit as a flea so just didn't see this coming. probably a wake up call to ensure I start eating as bit healthier. Frustrating thing is the older I get the sweeter my tooth seems to become.

My wife said it’s sex or sweets now. So I have a big bag of haribo every day

Haribo? That's was Rolf Harris's answer when he was asked what his favourite grooming product was.
