Pep charged by FA
For wearing a political symbol (the yellow ribbon).
I wonder why it's taken the FA so long to charge him given that he's been wearing this for many months and why now???
Does it mean the ball bags of the FA will now go back a couple of months and charge Kane and Alli for violent conduct for their tackles on our players???
Thought not.

I'll forego wearing my Leroy Sane shirt (too small anyway) if you fancy going halves dressed as a yellow ribbon with me Andy!
Obviously, we'd be one piece of the ribbon each. Could sort of do it by tying two inflatable bananas together.
It'll certainly get the blog 10K worth of hits :P:P:P:P

Wankers.
So is James McClean's refusal to wear a poppy not a political statement?
If it's inciting hatred or violence then I could understand it, if not it's fuck all to do with them.
Hopefully somebody will be selling them on the day

I don't think the FA have any place to be getting involved with foreign political issues.
.. and I remember Maureen specifically targeting the issue some months back.

Re: Pep charged by FA
before we all get too outraged over this,
the FA are basically giving the whole campaign a huuge boost through this...
especially after the rozzers were checking Pep's family's plane earlier to try and find the political exiles.

Re: Pep charged by FA
well Maureen will be happy that the fa have now proved it is not 1 rule for pep and another for Maureen as he suggested. I can't help thinking that surely the f.a should have more pressing matters to deal with.

FA should be dealing with racism, sexism, homophobia, grass roots facilities, sexual abuse of children, gambling, brain damage from heading a football, deploring behaviour by players whilst on warm weather training, incompetent/cheating/corrupt refs and they chase a yellow ribbon.

Re: Pep charged by FA
so also on this UEFA are happy with the ribbon as it is not offensive.
So the FA haven't got a leg to stand on with the charge other than making their own rules up beyond UEFA??

Re: Pep charged by FA
wonder if the players will have under-shirts on?
maybe the club could iron them onto the shirt sleeves to really wind up the FA too?

Haha...just had a spat with Esteemed Kompany on Twitter....I told him to fuck off and stop being sanctimonious.Topdawg wrote:You’re doing a great job on twitter. Not sure about fuck the FA on the ribbon though
He was saying last night that the ribbons aren't political...it's all about common decency and mankind...or some hairy-fairy bullshit. He basically got shot down with people saying it was political wearing a ribbon for illegally putting people in prison for speaking out.
He's then just replied to someone on Twitter who said swear words shouldn't be put on ribbons...."it's all very childish"...
He said I was very aggressive with my reply...I think he forgot his meltdown on Twitter the other week when everyone was disagreeing with him.
I'm not putting swear words on them...jesus, it's gonna take long enough to cut up ribbons!!

Bluey, can you make an extra large yellow ribbon for me and one in red the same size please?

Re: Pep charged by FA
I was thinking, quickest way is literally fold the ribbon and staple through it...
no arsing about with glues or fixing pins on, can get poppy pins to hold on or safety pins.

Re: Pep charged by FA
Was just gonna cut up the ribbons...and give out pins. It takes a second to fold it...the only thing I was thinking though...will the stewards allow the pins through if fans are wearing them?
I'll look in the lock-up for trackies and briefcases.

Don't joke...I've had the Free Catalonia Group from London, wanting to meet and collect ribbons to give out!!Topdawg wrote:Andy will be paraded through the streets of Barcelona, carried on the shoulders of a twitter fuelled crowd of admiring supporters....
Liam Gallagher has been included in my Tweets.
It's gone mental...800+ retweets on 4 different Tweets in less than 18 hours.
I've just cut 650 ribbons...run out of ribbon, so now off to get more.

I wouldn't advise travelling to Spain for a while mate. I bet you've already been given the code name Senor Cinta by the Spanish authorities.
