Cardiff v City
HT Cardiff 0 City 3
Comfortable stuff. More pace in the side than midweek with Aguero, Sterling and Sane all starting. Cardiff their usual filthy selves. Need a decent win with the Dippers well up at half time.

Tap-in for Mahrez, beautiful team goal. Foden on?

5-0 Mahrez second. That's more like it. Sounded hard work according to 5 Live for the first 30 mins.

Brilliant stuff from about the half hour mark. Great chance for Foden late on, would have been nice.

Hopefully we are back to our best now, who knows the Lyon game might be the kick up the arse they needed. I was worried when I saw Spanish Dave rested and Gundo still in.

Thought Gundo was brilliant apart from a glaring miss early on. I think in all honesty it is walker that needs a rocket up his arse. He is far to nonchalant in his passing and at times puts us in precarious positions. LaPorte had a couple of dodgy moments also but overall what could have been a tricky game turned out to be a comfortable stroll.

Forgot to mention that tackle by Ralls on Gundogan right in front of Oliver. How on earth when a boot is that high on the knee nowhere near the ball and studs showing be deemed only a yellow. Delph last season was imo quite rightly shown a red v Wigan for a late & dangerous tackle but it was a totally soft red when you look at that yesterday. going back to some of last seasons awful tackles on City players are refs frightened to give reds against City?

Re: Cardiff v City
Gundogan looked better because the Cardiff players stood off him and let him play. I find him quite frustrating in that respect: when he's given space, he looks superb, but when pressed he can't cope.skyblueoz wrote:Thought Gundo was brilliant apart from a glaring miss early on. Gundo also looked better playing in Silva's position, maybe it's playing alongside him that is throwing his game off..
I'd still go for Silva every day of the week yet though if it was a toss up between the two..
