Seriously just how good is Sterling?

Very good, but this team proves how threadbare we are.

I think teams always have to potential to cause us problems when they have a go, but then they leave themselves open at the back which is why so many end up parking the bus.

Rags 2-0 to Southampton at the moment, turning in to a perfect football weekend.

Hardly a vintage performance, too many changes for that, but another comfortable win. Good stuff from Sane and Bernardo, and second half Sterling was great. Silva coming on made 3-1 way more likely than 2-2.

Sometimes you have to watch a full 90 mins of another two teams in the Prem to understand just how good City are even when they are not at their best. Was one of the best all round performances from Sane I've seen this season. Amazing to me how consistently excellent Sterling now is.

Great meeting up with you at last.

Struggled a little bit first half. Then it was great to see Sterling step up as a senior player and literally, take the game by the scruff of the neck. That showed great maturity and spurred on others like Sane, who did his defensive duties, better than I've seen him do since he arrived (another growing up?) - had a wonderful game. Bernardo is just class, but thought Delph coming on changed the game, as Zinchenko was pretty poor.
Silva coming on then gave us that control again, as their MF's retreated another 10 yards, scared of him passing around them. Great one two with Sane for Gundogan's goal.

Great to see many get a rest as well - we'll need it with all these games coming up....and all this without KDB.

Made it back to the homeland for this one too at the weekend   couple of pints in Sumerbee's before and after game but no sign of Ray  or Andy.
