I said a month ago though would still prefer the domestic treble, CL was always the one I was less arsed about.   I think CL will be Peps swansong with us in 3 years.

If Pep stays long enough we will win it, but if we really want it that bad then will need to shift the focus away from the domestic cups. If we do win the domestic treble then I think Pep will want to put more focus on the CL next season. I only want to win it so that I don't hear any more of this yeah, but you've never won the CL bulls*t from opposition fans. Personally will be be supporting Ajax in the final, cant see Spurs getting there.

Spuds v Dippers in the final.  I hate it when I don't know who to root for.  Do I opt for the dippers because it'll piss off the rags if they win it, or do I go for the spuds because it'll be funny to watch the dippers end this season without a single pot?

Do I support a team who broke my heart when I was ten, or a team whose arrogance flies in the face of their achievements in the last 25 years?  Do I stay true to my Northern roots and want the southern softies to get a pasting, or do I decide I don't want to listen to those scousers banging on about winning it for the next 20 years?

Spuds for me too. Crazy that this competition is regarded as the pinnacle of excellence by many, yet last year’s finalist finished 25pts behind the PL winners and this year the Spuds look like doing the same. I’d love us to win it some time soon, but only to shut people up. It’s the final stick to beat us with for the likes of Rio Ferdinand: “you’re not a great side until...” Zzzzzz

Nah CL doesn't bother me, it's a cup end of the day. League is 1st everytime. We boo the anthem so why are we bothered. If VAR was done correctly that was us last night too, so I really do not care but will shout for Spurs, they won't win the league anytime soon, but are a good cup side.

All it proves is that anyone can win a cup competition, as it's really just luck on the day as much as anything else.  A full league season, however, needs more than good fortune (as I tried to explain to some idiot the other day, before I twigged he was a salty loserpool fan).

My dipper mate is more dipperitis than we are, he was already picking up the trophy when it was Ajax, but now its spuddies he has already lost.
