Klopp - Fifa manager of the year
What a surprise Klopp gets FIFA coach of the year award for winning one trophy. I assume the manager of the year is always given to the winners of the Champs League ?
Alison beat Ederson for GK of the year also.
Hopefully LPoo can keep picking up the awards & we'll pick up all the

Re: Klopp - Fifa manager of the year
Klopp must have been slightly embarrassed picking up that award with Pep watching, unless he’s been at Liverpool long enough now to lose any sense of shame or humility?
The thing is, every single season a manager wins the champions league, and sometimes even after losing all three group stage away games! And sometimes that manager’s team shouldn’t even have qualified for the tournament as they haven’t been champions of their domestic league since before the days of mobile phones.
And then comes a special manager. A manager that achieves something truly unique, like winning every domestic trophy in one season (something that was laughed at and thought impossible at the start of the campaign). And he doesn’t do it in a one horse race (PSG), or in the most corrupt league in Europe (Spain), nor in a woefully poor league (Italy).
Oh no, this manager does it on the most competitive and difficult league in world football.
So it is surely a no-brainer who gets the award isn’t it?
At least you would’ve thought so! And then comes the Liverpool Factor. And that overrides all sense and logic. Don’t forget it was the Liverpool Factor that decided Rogers was given the manager of the year award for coming second in the league to Pellers (in the season he became the first foreign manager to win two trophies in his first season in English football).
So, am I pissed off that the grinning twat won the award last night? Too bloody right I am. But am I surprised? Hell no, of course not!

And another thing: now that they officially had the best manager last season AND the best defender AND the best goalkeeper (as well as, according to the BBC, the two most exciting young full backs ever) how come they only concede 1 goal less than our injury hit back line?
Well that’s a puzzle to me.

Spot on guys. Pep wins the domestic treble with players that can't get into the best XI so surely he must be the best manager out there???

"They had eight players shortlisted for the Fifa Fifpro Men's World11 but Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero and Bernardo Silva were all overlooked.
Apparently recording the second-highest points tally in Premier League history - 98 - and winning three major trophies just isn't quite enough."
To quote the BBC.

So there you have it, unequivocal proof that FIFA hate us.
I'd be bothered, but meh, who cares? We have a manager who knows how good he is and players who would rather play than be handed plaudits. I'd much rather we stuck two fingers up by retaining the league for a third year and laughing even harder at the dippers for yet another season of "It's Our Year".

Me too Leo, I am not even slightly interested in the Chumps League its all about the back to back to back and hopefully let them lead all the way to the last 2 games or so, just to play with them.

I'm quite sure that when Dave looks back at the end of the season, it'll be on all those football trophy medals he's picked up over the years. God bless him and feck off fifa.

Damn right, mate! He won't care that he never won any plaudits from a bunch of stuffed shirts, he's more likely to reflect on the changes he's made to our club, all the trophies he's helped to win and probably even more than that, the love that he's earned from the fans. He's a club legend, which will be worth so much more than some gong from a guy who probably couldn't pick him out in a line-up.
