Premier League FFP Deduction
I know it's just the Daily Fail and they just make it up but
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8053509/Premier-Leagues-Manchester-City-probe-lead-points-deduction-UEFA-ban.html
I wonder if this is a different way to simply get us banned from Europe next season. We know it's going to CAS and if it follows the PSG model should be thrown out, but how do we stand with the Premier League? Could dock us just for the hell of it? Hopefully it's the same process with UEFA with CAS in the background but do we really know in this case?

Re: Premier League FFP Deduction
Won't even waste my time reading that guff.
Premier League will wait until at least after CAS finish and maybe even the Swiss courts.
You've got to remember the PL FFP started later than UEFA's and has a much bigger margin for losses. £105M losses over 3 years as opposed to €30M losses over 3 years.
If the PL open up a can of worms, I'd like to see City going after them too.

Re: Premier League FFP Deduction
Just a couple of points on financial restrictions.
It was brought in to stop top clubs going bust (allegedly) but how many premier ir indeed top European clubs have gone bust?
They try to sell it as fair play but if it was fair play every club would be allocated the same amount including RM, Barca, Juve and BM.
It is not FFP but restriction to maintain the influence of the richest clubs and stop a challenge to their income, it is in fact a protection of a monopoly.

Yep it's all in the term 'of income'.lee1pen wrote:Just a couple of points on financial restrictions.

FFP is a load of old bollocks. I've no doubt we've done our level best to get around the rules by being cunning but UEFA (and the teams pushing them to act) are out to get us.
I hope we kick their arses all over town.
