RIP Blue Moon Legends
Apart from the predictions league this site as a place to comment on City seems to have died.
Such a shame.
But thanks and best wishes for the future for all the contributors
Cheers

Re: RIP Blue Moon Legends
I think it’s reflective of a more widespread antipathy towards football in general these days.
Hopefully see some people in a bar or at a game if I ever go back in future.
Definitely a more educated and civil forum than the vast majority of them out there.

Totally agree about the civility, some of the other forums are a disgrace to football.

To be honest it’s that hatred spouted over a game that was one of the biggest turn offs for me.
It’s one of the downsides to the internet, people saying things online that they would never dream of saying in a face to face conversation.

Well I watched the footie today. A bit disappointed that they conceded 3 but at least they got 6!! Thought Ferni was fantastic when he came on. Why the hell didin't Pep play him in the Champions League Final last season. Am enormous blunder on his part.

I thank god computers were just in sci fi movies when was a kid. I have no idea how I would have coped with the modern generations social media.titbumwilly wrote:To be honest it’s that hatred spouted over a game that was one of the biggest turn offs for me.

Re: RIP Blue Moon Legends
I have had conversations with mates, heated debates with strangers in bars, chats with foreigners on holiday, for hours on end about football over the years. Supporters of just about any team you can think of, and yet I’ve never had to endure a fraction of the hatred and bile that is sent over the internet whenever football is now discussed.
You can guarantee as soon as City (or any other club) is mentioned, expletive-laden rants about the club, owners, fans,” or players will be immediately posted. The vast majority of the messages will be racist, violent or sick.
Decent people don’t need that in their lives.

Agreed but unfortunately that is not what is happening. The only game this season that has any comments at all was the spuds game and that only had 3 replies to the original post.TMG wrote:Well if everyone comments like on this post there is no reason why blue moon legends should RIP. Please please everyone prove me wrong.

Re: RIP Blue Moon Legends
i would like to see the site continue as it is a place to go for genuine city fans with the intelligence to have reasonable debate without all the aforementioned vitriol. I always look at the site after a match but the time difference usually stops me from commenting immediately.
On another note come on nijinsky & tbw add your expertise to the prediction league.

I'm not around so much especially at weekend when I'm generally working like a dawg. I'd like the site to keep going and maybe it'll pick up a little.
