Huge hurricane headed directly for Tampa so a direct hit this time.  Will definitely lose power for some time (probably weeks). Just hope we don't have any trees fall on the house which happened to us a few years ago.  We are in the "Red" zone but don't have to evacuate as we are not on the coast.

Hey wensdi hope you are ok! Storm looked terrifying on the news. Ever thought of moving?  i would be pretty pissed off if i had to put up with that every few years.?

Hi Oz and Nijinsky - thanks for asking.  We lost all power last Wednesday as the hurricane approached Tampa.  It was a massive storm and we had a lot of damage from fallen trees and branches smashing into the garden, front back and side.  However no damage to the house but only got our power back today.  It's been quite an ordeal, no petrol, no ice for the coolers and no hot water to shower. It's been pitch black at night as all the surrounding houses obviously didn't have power either.  So glad we got facilities restored last night.  Had a battery operated phone charger which was a lifesaver.
