robinho, sturridge and ireland
i like watching some old stuff from the OS and youtube.
Last couple of highlights I saw included the three above mentioned players.
Obviously, they showed their best side but these guys did look good on their day.
Looking back at sturridge, still can't believe we let him go. The others let themselves down, but they were the business when they were on song.

He was a greedy little shit though. He was offered the right contract.
Ireland turned out to be a proper enigma? The only thing Robhino did for us was get the best out of Ireland.
RSC is a close call between him and Jo as the biggest mistake since we came into money, although admittedly Jo came at the end of Frank Shinawatra's reign

when you look at sturridge now, who wouldn't begrudge him the £55k per week?
but if we had kept him, we probably wouldn't have got mario

I was thinking the same thing, some great passing moves in that footage!
Sturridge is looking good now, but he is average at finishing, took him 4 or so decent attempts to score at Wigan, Mario may well have bagged all 4.
But he needs to be playing for England next summer, if he can improve his finishing, he'll be lethal with that pace

It is a shame, because Sturridge would be a fantastic addition to the squad, four top strikers competing for places. But at the time he was taking the piss and I'm glad the club took the stance they did.

grated, we thought he was taking the piss. we had the money, maybe we could have done it on a sliding scale so as he played for the first team more and scored more, his wages went up.
mancini believes that he shouldn't have been let go.
