Juventus fined £3500......
for racist chants aimed at Mario Balotelli.
Honestly, what a waste of time.
Fines and playing games behind closed doors is utterly pointless, ONLY point deductions and expulsions will ever work against these pieces of scum. When will the powers that be realise this??

Re: Juventus fined £3500......
A fine of £3500 for racist chants?? Juventus is worth MILLIONS, how does a poxy fine to the value of 100 seats on one match day make a scrap of difference?? They'll pay that out of petty cash and do absolutely nothing else. Why bother? It'll cost more than £3500 to find the people responsible and ban them for life, so where's the incentive??
I realise nobody here has the answers, I just find it ridiculous. Especially since we got a bigger fine for throwing paper on the pitch. Maybe we'd have been fined less if the paper we threw was white...
Useless Effigy of Football Arbitration. That's what UEFA should stand for.

I thought it was a fine from the Italian FA rather than UEFA?

Whatever. The only thing that changes is the last sentence:
Idiotic Fucking Arseholes. That's what IFA should stand for.
But given the kick racism movement is a brainchild of UEFA, I'm sure they should have some say in the level of fines imposed. Or do they not actually care if it's only league games?

Tbh Pplf, that's not the point i'm trying to get across.
Fines to these clubs are no deterant whatsoever.
Even £3500 to a club in financial dire straights like Bury's fuck all, never mind the likes of Juventus.

No idea who fined them tbh.

Yes it was the Italian league that fined them.
Italian fans are scum and have been allowed to get away with too much for far too long, it's about time the Italian teams were made an example of........bet you any money English teams would have.

Re: Juventus fined £3500......
Shaken, you're completely right, the matter of who fined them is irrelevant, it's the fact that the fine is peanuts and offers neither an incentive to the club to sort it out or a deterrent to the fans who cause the problem.
Now, if the club were fined £3.5 million AND were forced to pay it by increasing ticket prices, using the increase to cover the fine, this would have a much bigger impact. Those being racist arseholes might think twice, but the masses that aren't should be livid and might just inspire them to blow the whistle on the idiots. And the club would have no choice but to manage the furore surrounding the fans being hit in their pockets.
I suspect that it's unworkable, though, so a points deduction would be the simplest solution. Make the fans' bad behaviour cause the club to lose out on European places, or even get relegated, and I'd bet that the response would be very similar.

So Italian fans are at it again.
When will the Authorities take the appropriate action.....and i don't mean by way of a fine.
Inter have already been fined this season (as have many other Italian teams), yet they continue to do it, does that not say all that needs to be said about fines?
Ban ALL Italian teams from European Competitions for the next 5yrs....easy!

Re: Juventus fined £3500......
You can be sure that if this was English fans, the bastards would be banning clubs from Europe.
UEFA make me sick, they seem to have one rule for us and another for every other country especially Italy.
English clubs were banned for 5 years for having unruly and aggressive fans in the 80's after the tragedy blamed on Liverpool fans at the Heisel? Stadium. So how is it ok for fans of Italian clubs, who actually have a reputation for stabbing and attacking visiting fans and racial abusing their players on umpteen well reported occasions, to receive a paltry fine every time they do it? which they could pay out of their petty cash drawer anyway .

Re: Juventus fined £3500......
Funny you should mention Heysel, MCM. Funny because the opponents were Juventus. Liverpool took the entire blame and the whole country suffered, despite the fact the Juve fans joined in with the missile throwing and rioting, the fact the Belgians sold the neutral seats to Juve fans and the fact the deaths were caused because the stadium was a death trap.
Oh, and the only goal of the game was scored by ... ta dah! Michel Platini.
Sometimes, the conspiracy just writes itself...

Re: Juventus fined £3500......
Purely from memory, I seem to recall the Liverpool fans were squeezing against a wall to get away from the side of the stand where they were being pelted with missiles and that wall collapsed under the pressure.
Italian fans a re a real disgrace, the Italian authorities know it, the Italian FA know it, British Police that travel with English fans to Italy know it and even more crucially, UEFA and Platini know it. Yet they all stick their collective heads in the sand and take no action, their leagues are rife with bribery and scandal and their fans are well known for violence particularly involving the use of knives. Why are they waiting for fans to be murdered before they take any action against these thugs? Their racist chanting is well known about by UEFA who have handed out piddling fines to no avail. its time they banned these clubs from European competition.
