FA Cup Semi Final Tickets
At last, the City OS have announced the selling criteria for the semi-final tickets!
http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Tickets-and-Travel/2013/March/FA-Cup-semi-final-ticket-update
I guess the cup scheme is very heavily prescribed to these days - last time we went to Wembley, you got first refusal. Now you have to wait until loyalty points kick in as well. Damn. Still, I guess I can wait until the 30th to get tickets and even then we won't know which of our main rivals we're actually playing. Should be a good match!
So... anyone else going then?

Re: FA Cup Semi Final Tickets
I'd like to go, but the missus looks like putting that idea to bed. Also problems with obtaining a French/EU driving licence means I can only drive in France until I receive the new licence (maybe two months away).
We have an allocation of 31,514 and 36,000 season ticket holders so you should get a ticket if you want one.
If we make the final though, we may only get about 25k again so many season ticket holders would miss out.

Anyone daft enough not to join the cup scheme is a plonker anyway. It costs nothing to join, you get guaranteed home game tickets in your own seat, they are capped prices for all rounds before the QF, plus you get a stack more loyalty points for joining and priority access to cup final tickets.
But the one thing that puzzles me, Dawg: Why do you need to drive when you get to Blighty? Surely you can get the train from Heathrow?

Leo, I prefer to take the car so I can visit friends and do some shopping. I like to make a weekend of it and maybe visit the family up north for a couple of days.

Got my fingers crossed, I've applied through the supporters club, they get an allocation then draw lots for who gets them.

Leo, I'll buy a ticket if I can and just hope I can do enough cleaning, ironing, cooking and grocery shopping that she lets me go.

Re: FA Cup Semi Final Tickets
I'm not giving my missus a choice. I've told her I'm going and taking our lad with us and that's it. In the 1990's, I went with an Oldham supporting friend to the League Cup final against Forest (which they lost) and a Runcorn supporting friend to watch the FA Trophy final against Wycombe Wanderers (which they lost, too), but the one bloody time City were there, could I find anyone who'd go with me? Could I bollocks! So I'm going, end of!
Of course, I'll have to make up for it later, but hey, it's worth it!

Re: FA Cup Semi Final Tickets
I'll try to get a ticket off someone who can't make it, like last time, or if my brother can get one for me.
Hope it doesn't kick off again like last time, whoever we play, there will be a large number of southerners!

Re: FA Cup Semi Final Tickets
Well, that's my tickets bought and paid for. I have to say, it was a hell of a lot easier getting them from my computer than it was a couple of seasons ago, when I got up at 5am to get to the stadium nice and early (I was 38th in the queue!)
All we need to do now is wait and see who we're playing. But I don't care, it's a trip to Wembley!

See you in the Green Man then hopefully! I might even get my brothers ticket, as his missus has just had another baby, so his hands are full... shame

Re: FA Cup Semi Final Tickets
Got mine Today Green Man it is then!! Most who want them will get them, not counting my chickens... but IF we win like last time against the Rags it does take the Edge of the Final.
Unbelevable atmosphere the Poznan, out singing and playing them off the park. Certainly a memory that will stay with me forever.

Re: FA Cup Semi Final Tickets
I'll be there wandering round taking photos, using the semi as a good chance at getting some great photos of the day, shouldn't be any trouble like last time after the game (hopefully) So I won't be getting pissed!
Good trick if you want to smuggle booze into the ground, where a jacket with a hood, I put a few tinnies in that, they just checked bags, or a hip flask down the pants!
Just waiting on my brother getting hold of a ticket for me, otherwise I'll get one off a tout after the game starts.

Just got a call from my brother, he's secured a ticket for me, £40, so 3rd tier, better bring my binoculars!!!! I'll have a 400m zoom lens with me, so if I'm right at the back I'll have that glued to my eye!!!

Re: FA Cup Semi Final Tickets
If you see someone walking round laden down with cameras, that'll be me... so I'm obviously not going to be drinking much, not with about £1k worth of gear on me ( camera gear that is...)
Should be a great game, just hope Silva is OK! Nasri has got big shoes to fill

Yay, got one! Thanks for stepping aside on this one, Mum. Saved me having to ready a wad for Wembley High Street.
