City 5-3 Chelsea

Chelsea must really hate the sight of us this season. I think we've beat them 5 times with one draw.

What did we learn from tonight's match?

We were simply awesome for the first 20 minutes and could easily have been 3 or 4 up.

Kolarov and Maicon can't defend for toffee. Richard Wright is pretty useless. Boyata had a very good first 45, but made a rash challenge nearly giving a pen away in the 2nd.

Nasri can be absolutely brilliant and he scored two classy goals.

Milner makes such a difference with his industry and undoubted quality.

Silva still has a magic left foot equalled by the majestic Juan Mata.

Dzeko is a decent striker.

Tevez and Aguero will always cause defenders problems.

IMO Milner should start every game,his input is phenominal,but the real surprise for me was Nasri.Why can he not produce like these two games at home?

Enjoyable game and great result but just as well it was a friendly though.
Some of the blatant trips and tackles would have been yellow cards straight away in a serious game.
The commentator's completely missed it but did anyone else see Luis clatter into the back of Aguero and he wasn't happy and squared up to Luis off the ball and was shoved in the chest by the Chelsea player? OK it was handbags but the whack in the back from Luis is typical of him, he is a really good player but has a nasty streak in him too.
Lescott was awful too he mis-controlled a ball in the box which led to Chelsea nearly scoring and then let Benayoun beat him in the air to get a free header which nearly scored.
Barry has been a good player for us but more and more he seems to concede possession and commit silly fouls. I would like to see more Milner and less Barry next season, Milner was brilliant in the second half.

Luiz also 'shoulder charged' Silva who did not look pleased. He has this habit, which has been noted by several commentators, of shoulder charging or barging an opponent as they get close to the ball.

Yaya was also guilty of a terrible tackle on a Chelsea youngster, cynical dirty, injury causing. The poor lad got hit by 3 City players and had to go off injured in the 1st half.

Luiz was also guilty of a ¨shoulder charge ¨in the back on David Silva on Thursday night.Luiz may be good but he is also dirty when it is not necessary,but he gets away with a lot in the Prem.!!

Wow, i forgot about this game too.

Sounds like we had half a team out again, to slap Chelsea twice is 3 days is pretty impressive.

We had a top team out the 1st half and gave them a right good going over. Jose or no Jose, they can't live with us when we play like that.

The second half started badly, conceding a goal within a minute and conceding 2 more soft goals after bringing on the usual suspects like Lescott, Garcia, Maicon.

We really need to strengthen in defence before next season and preferrable sooner to bed in any new players during the pre season games.
