A Rumour That Wont Go Away

I see on the BBC Gossip column that today we're linked with Ibrahimovic again, although he supposedly wants to stay where he is.

Is it just me or does anyone else wish this rumour would go away or turn out to be not true?

The lad does seem to score the odd good goal or two but everytime I see him play I can't help but think what is all the hype about, he really does look like a lazy bastard. Personally I think there is better out there but that might just be why I'm not City manager.

Was he really ever worth Eto and 30 odd million, not in my eyes. Inter must have pissed themselves when that offer came in.

You're bang on there John. Ibrahimovic reminds me alot of Berbaflop and i too don't get all the hype that surrounds him.
I honestly don't think i've ever seen a game with him playing where i thought 'fuckin hell, he'd look good in a blue shirt', admittedly i've not seen him a massive ammount but he's never once impressed me.
Surely if RM intends to bring in another forward, he'd get someone a bit better than him (well i hope so). What about Higuain from Real Madrid?

Having said that would Kinky get in a team nowadays for 3 or 4 flashes of genius and 20 or 30 moments of self centred individualism.....

I don't mind Higuain Den but think If it was my choice would probably go for Benzema or even have a cheeky try for Drogba. I just cant stand the thought of Ibra especially when you know he's going to cost 25+ million and thats before we talk wages.

Lee in answer to your point not sure Kinky would get in any team managed by Bobby but that said I think there's enough players in our side with the work ethic to have someone like Kinky in there.

Just had a look on the link provide by Mario and someones posted his stats, it seems he as a 1 in 2 record and chips in with is fair share of assists but I still think he's shit!

I'd rather we didnt get another Immobile lug of a striker. Take a peek at Drogba's record at Chelsea, not that great! Ibra would be a bit of a nightmare too, Give us pace and creativity.

People on the continent rave about him, yet every game i've seen him play (Inter in the CL, Sweden in the WC) he's looked average.

In fact, i'd go as far as to say he's the most overrated player in Europe.

I was a big fan of him when he was at Juve, not been that impressed since, i think he played against Arse when he was at Barca and scored a couple of crackers at emirates if memory serves.... Not saying much though as Arse's defence has been wank for years. Just another moody twat when he aint on it, but Bobby is a big fan so it would'nt surprise me if he joined.

These appear to be why the rumours won't go away. (1) Bobby is a big fan and the inter association. (2) We are about the only club who could afford to pay his exhorbitant wages & transfer fee.

The media always go on about work-rate but Ibra has the footballing brain and is almost always in the right postion for the tap-in personally would say no now but if it was last season then hell yeah. His record of winning the league 8 years out of 9 is impressive.
