No further action against Joe
However, they are looking into Boyd's actions.
Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart will face no further action from the Football Association following his confrontation with Hull's George Boyd.
England international Hart clashed foreheads with Hull substitute Boyd during a furious exchange in City's 2-0 Barclays Premier League win at the KC Stadium on Saturday.

Re: No further action against Joe
Ref saw the incident and handed Joe a yellow card. The ref can hardly say he didn't see it thus allowing the FA to charge Joe.

Yeah, but we don't know what the yellow was for. Was it the head butt, which if it was..he should have been sent off, or was it his aggressive behaviour?
Either way...Boyd wants taking to task for his pathetic dive.

I can see Boyd getting himself a 3 match ban. Let's hope he does.

Re: No further action against Joe
I dare say Boyd will get a ban for his actions, but Joe is immensely lucky that he's got away with just a yellow card. The ref could've put the card in for "aggressive behaviour and retaliation", which would cover all bases.
Very lucky indeed.
Still, it's about time we had a swing in our fortunes. Hopefully this will inspire us to kick on in a 2012 style-ee. Perhaps we should reinstate the hashtag from that season, too?

I still dont think there was any aggressive movement of the head by Hart that could be construed as a head butt or anything else. It was an angry coming together and they went head to head,no ifs, ands, or butts, handbags nothing else and common sense has prevailed.

I agree. But then Pardew's was barely a head-butt and I've seen similar from other players who've had a big old slap from the FA as well. None of them are head-butts, it's more of a leaning in with the forehead and resting it gingerly on the other person's upper face. It's more of a caress of the forehead and it's about as painful as being licked by a kitten. And yet the FA still hammer anyone who does it.ManCityMan wrote:I still dont think there was any aggressive movement of the head by Hart that could be construed as a head butt or anything else. I was head-butted once and it fucking hurt. Fractured my nose and gave me two black eyes. I'd rather have been butted like Pardew did it, at least it would've been painless.

Pardew did make a forward move with his head but i'm not sure there was much contact it was just a stupid thing to do on his part to even have got involved like he did as a manager that should have known better.
