City unchanged from Tuesday: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Demichelis, Clichy, Fernandinho, Toure, Navas, Silva, Nasri, Dzeko

Come on Palace! Should be 3 up by sound of it.

All out for the win tonight. 3 points tonight and we can lose to Dippers without it costing us

What a brilliant performance so far from Palace....if they had a clinical striker...they'd be 4-0...no kidding....they've been brilliant on the break.

We need to be a bit more clinical...one shot, one goal... Zab, Navas and Silva have all been in good positions within the box, but we've chosen to square it.

Still, we look very dangerous on the break...solid at the back...DeM and Vinny have done well squeezing them.

However, if they bring on the Oxe...we need to be wary...

*****SORRY, BUT DZEKO IS FUCKING USELESS AND NEEDS SUBBING AND SELLING IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!**** Wink

Hmmmmm...as good as we were in the first half...that was fucking shite in the second.

SORRY Dzeko fans...but he was back to his usual fucking awful self.

Nasri did nothing all game...Yaya was pretty much non-existent all game....

1-0 at half time, and  we came out like that....pathetic.

Still, Chelsea dropped 3 points...hope the scousers lose tomorrow...but as it has always been, it's in our hands, but after that 2nd half display....MP couldn't get over the line.

Why Negredo was kept until the 83rd is beyond me....

Still, it's still in our hands....great first half, absolute shit second half....we cannot even think to play like that against Liverpool, Everton or Southampton....I just hope MP gets stuck into them tonight and tells them that isn't PL Winners form in the 2nd half.

Far too many players went missing....

Oh...and this is no joke....Dzeko is fucking useless!

Fair play to arsenal there, they battled 2 nd half. 4 from 6 isn't a disaster from those 2 games, especially with Chelsea's gift today.

A draw at anfield and we are likely there.

Come on the spuds tomorrow though.

Nah...not having that BB...after the tempo we played at in the first half....it was despicable to come and perform like that in the 2nd.

Player like Nasri and Yaya were awful all game.....these are supposed to be 'big game' players...they just didn't do it tonight.

Arsenal were bang average....we gifted them a goal through shit defending....

MP waited far too long to make a change...it was almost like he was happy with 1 point....not acceptable....they were there for the taking today....and we completely took our foot off the gas......

Guarantee Liverpool won't do that tomorrow....wasted chance. Evil or Very Mad

You are too hard on them sometimes, 4 from 6 isn't bad, that's the first goal we've conceded in 6 games. It's still in our hands, so no damage done.

Yes players went missing but I just say take the point and move on to Southampton.

Saints are in good form so that will be a toughie
Everton away is always tough even more so now they have a slim chance of 4th
Palace away is no gimmee either as Chelski found out today
So still a very long way to go. Spuds are shite so cant see anything other than a win for the dippers tomorrow

Agree, yes I am....but if we played shit all game, you could make an excuse...but after such a brilliant first half, they came out like it was a stroll....that's down to whatever was said at half time....which isn't acceptable.

MP waited far too long to make changes.

Yes, I agree...4 points from 6 sounds good on paper...but we've all watched the first and second halves....MP sat there when we just sat back and back....and it was only matter of time when they scored...we could all see it was coming....

Hard? Yep, I agree......but we've allowed Liverpool a sniff now after such an awful 2nd half....teams that win the league shouldn't do that...it was startling how much our tempo dropped off in the 2nd half...it was like watching 2 different teams....but no changes were made.

We still could have won it in the second half, it was more a case of arsenal starting to play.

As good as silva is just behind Dzeko, i do think it leaves him isolated at times. He made a couple of fantastic runs today but we kept passing it to the flanks, by which point arsenal flooded their own penalty area.

Going to be an interesting finish!

We missed the chance to virtually knock Chelsea out of the title race tonight. We'd have been ahead on GD with 2 games in hand with 8 to play.

For me, Liverpool are in the box seat. They win all their games and they are champions.

If we win all our games then we are champions too!
Liverpool have to play Spuds, us and Chelsea. And as they are at home for those games I think that will put added pressure on them. They haven't looked unbeatable to me lately, and I think the sudden expectation for them to win the league will start to weigh heavily on them!

BB - 4 from 6 isn't bad...but it should have been all 6 points. Even you posted this before the game:

We can't throw away today's gift! Nothing but a win, gooners side is so average.

Liverpool spanked them for 5 at home without conceding...it was a shame we couldn't play with the same intensity as we did in the first half. I know Arsenal upped their game, but we allowed them to do that and MP didn't react quick enough....it looked as though he was content with 1 point.

Still...it's in our hands. 2 very tough away games to come and Soton at home. Hopefully, with Aguero back in full flow before the Liverpool game we can give them a decent game.

Arsenal are different at the emirates to be fair blueboy, Liverpool lost there and Chelsea didn't score.

If Liverpool win today then the pressure really is on. If they draw or lose though, it's been a very good weekend for us. I don't think spurs will get anything but you never know!

To some, Liverpool are now favourites, so let's see how they handle that.
It's fine being the outsider with no expectation, but being expected to win every game is a different matter.
I don't expect Spuds will get anything today, but they won't be a pushover either.
It's still in our own hands, whatever today's result.

We need a big performance from Spurs today...a draw would be great, defeat even better.

Post by leopold Sun Mar 30, 2014 1:12 pm

I was surprised Nasri was on the team sheet yesterday. I know I've raved about him this season, but there's something about the Emirates. Maybe it's something to do with 50-odd thousand Gooners all booing him every time he gets the ball, perhaps that knocks his confidence a bit too much. I've never seen him play well there in a blue shirt.

Not the best result, especially since Palace did us a massive favour, but we rarely get anything at the Emirates, so I'll take a point. We're still in a strong position and, after MoTD's poll saying 57% of people think Liverpool will win the league, it does pour the focus on them a whole lot more. Let's see if they fold like Arsenal and Chelsea have done so far...

Agree BB...their defence is woeful...Soldado can't keep hold of the ball...Lennon can't beat a player...

2 gifted goals...but they do look very dangerous going forward...we'll have to be on top of our game when we go there.

Pretty much looking like winner takes all at Anfield then. Assuming we win away at Everton  Shocked

If we win it this year we will certainly deserve it with that run in.
