Well there we have it. Maureen saying he will play a weakened team against Liverpool as champions league is more important. Just because Spain has 3 semi final teams. Who gives a toss? it is all about him & personal glory. God I hate that bastard.

The position we're in is down to us though oz and not Chelsea.....despite needing his team to beat the Scousers, we don't really have a right to criticize his team selection.

Would MP put out his best team in the CL semi-final or the title run-in, knowing he's 3rd favourite with 3 or 4 games to go?.......i know which one he'd be told to by the top brass anyway.

As frustrating as it is oz, it's our own fault we're in the position we're in......let's just hope that the Scousers lose whatever team Mourinho puts out.

The actual reason behind the article was not just dig at Chelsea as much as I detest mourinho It was to continue in the vain of no matter what, Liverpool are going to win the title, The love in from Journo's  & media, The number of pens fair or foul, the number of decisions missed or ignored by refs including skyrtl & Suarez misdemenours , the whole 25th anniv so it is fitting they get it comments, to the nominations for poty, And the final straw Mourinho plays a weakened side. yes I am fed up with it all. If we had had half the love that Liverpool have had this season I,m sure we'd be well clear by now of the chasing pack.

Bear in mind that Maureen said he'd pick players who won't be on the pitch next Wednesday. Lampard and Mikel are banned for that game, so they'll definitely be at Anfield. It's not all doom and gloom yet, chaps!

No one is disputing the table, it is how they got there, I fully believe we deserve as much as Liverpool to be champions they have scraped some results as we have.  The media love in & the media arse licking help they have had is what irks. We on the other hand are the anti Christ.

LPoo will probably win their last 3 games
And we will drop further points at either Palace
or Everton or both

It's bin a disappointing season Like last year we

and we have been in all 4 competitions unlike LPoo
But at the end of the day as far as the PL goes
LPoo have been the best side

particularly at the back and perhaps concentrate on the PL title & CL for next season

I've always said it...any team that can win their remaining 14 games, many against top 4 opposition and win the title...they deserve it.

Since the turn of the year, we just haven't looked great every week like we did in the first half of the season...Liverpool have scraped points I agree, but they have played such quick, attacking football in the right part of the season...where we haven't.

It's more frustrating when your start so well and fade away, rather than a 'god, what if we played like that earlier on'...

MP has to face fact....he and the players were not up for the big games, by that, I mean the real important one's, the one's that mattered:

Barcelona
Wigan
Chelsea
Liverpool

If we'd have won one of the PL games - the title would still be in our hands.
If we'd beaten Wigan, which we should have, we'd probably be going to Wembley for the final of the FA Cup.
If we'd beaten an average Barcelona team, getting to the QF would have looked much better on paper...and who knows.

This part of the season we have dropped dramatically in player performance, team effectiveness and motivation...and I'm not only blaming MP for that, the players haven't always done themselves justice.

So, if Liverpool beat Chelsea and Palace...they will definitely deserve to win the PL this season.

I don't really buy this "it's all been in their favour"...that's called luck and you need that to win a PL.

Although you do have a point, they are getting a bit above themselves.  Anyone would think they've won it already.  And didn't Brenda moan about Chelsea's anti-football tactics after the match?  There's the difference:  Mourinho is a winner and he's not above getting there in the ugliest manner possible, if it's what suits him.

He's basically accused Maureen of parking "two buses" and using negative tactics to win a game. He reckons it's easy to coach, but then how would he know if he never uses such a tactic? I know from experience, playing defensive isn't easy to coach and it's hard work on the players as they have to stay focussed for the entire game.

What a bitter twat. He's worked with Maureen, you think he'd know what he'd do.

Maureen, as hateful as he can be, played exactly the right tactics. He knew he had a tough CL game coming up and had to field a weaker team to compensate. He knew Liverpool start quickly and hit teams hard before they even wake up. He knew his opponent would play an attacking game. And he knew, if he tried to fight fire with fire, he'd lose.

So he played a back four, with his wingers and midfield trio as deep as possible, to stop Liverpool getting through. Then he got his players to bring the pace right down, delaying over set pieces, because he knew that would break up their flow and frustrate them.

And it worked. Liverpool became frustrated quite quickly and started to throw bodies forward, which then played right into Maureen's hands as he hit them with two breakaway goals. And even more funny was all the added time that the ref put in for the delays only worked in Chelsea's favour, they scored in stoppage time in both halves!

Free flowing, attacking football is all very well as a spectacle, but there's a difference between entertainment and winning. Brenda should've expected Chelsea to go and play for a smash and grab victory and set up accordingly because, as he should've known, one point would've kept them in the driving seat.

It's called pressure Leo.

The media set Brenda up as some tactical genius....brilliant free flowing football...just as they did with MP...yet Mourinho out thought us....and we took it on the chin. We had chances to win that game and didn't take them..otherwise, Mourinho's tactics wouldn't have worked against us, as we pretty much had to play them at their own game at the Etihad and failed....credit where it's due.

Rogers and the whole Liverpool club are a bunch of moaning fuckers...it's suddenly gone against them...now it's excuses after excuses. Get over it.
