This really is bad. Even with so many players out, we have to be doing better than this.

2 Years To Buy A Defender Empty Re: 2 Years To Buy A Defender

I've found the whole pre-season a bit odd. Why did they leave it so late to get all the players back? We could easily be playing serious catch up if the big boys don't start next week.

There is no way Jimmy is going to sign that contract if he isn't playing. Fernando looks lost and Yaya just doesn't look arsed.

Was really looking forward to the new season too, but wish it was still a few weeks off now.

Hahahaa....just got to my hotel, connected up to the internet....and watching the last few minutes...3-0? Looks embarrassing, but then again, playing the likes of Boyata, who is seriously shit, with Nasty, Clichy at RB....what did we expect?

4 of the back 5 won't play normally, but that isn't an excuse. I've been worried for a few weeks that Managala hasn't gone through early and the WC players come back so late.

Lots of half hearted performances, wish we'd tried just a little more.

Nastasic is awful and Boyata isn't much better. They'd not be winning if we had the usual defence.

Arsenal didn't look too bad, but we helped them immensely with the immobile, lazy Dzeko. Playing two up top when they have 5 in midfield is mighty dangerous when one of them does nowt.

Well, IF MP hasn't learned something from that performance...then its going to be a difficult season.

By all accounts....pretty much to a man...we were shit all over the park.

Still, if we think of who our starting line-up will be next week, it'll be potentially, vastly different.

..............................Hart..........................

Zaba.........Vinny................DeM.....Kolorov

.............Fernandinho....Yaya..............

Silva.............................................Nasri...

.......................Jovetic...........................

......................Dzeko/Aguero............................

Personally, away from home, I'd be tempted to play Fernando behind Yaya and Fernandinho and drop Nasri and Dzeko.

This meaningless tripe will be forgotten once the season kicks off next week.
Couldn't be bothered to watch, I knew this would happen, and to watch the laughable Arse fans celebrating another 'trophy' would really have made me vomit.
The plus side to this result is, everyone will be writing us off now, and Arse will be over-confident about their chances of winning the league.
I remember the team that won it last year thought it was the start of a successful season!!!

The fact that we lost and looked shit was half expected. But that's the worry TBW, this is our 2nd string and some of them will play this season. That's the worry.

Yes some will play on the odd occasion, but only alongside far better players who will raise their level of performance.
I am personally not worried about the upcoming season.
I'd rather lose today and win next week, than the other way round.

TBF....as much as I like him, I hear Milner was awful. He's mentioned he wants regular first team football....yet puts in a crap performance.

I'm not too concerned looking at the starting 11, but what it does mean, is that our first 11 need to be fit and raring to go next week. A massive week in training...and who knows, it could be the kick up the arse some need.

With the likes of Zaba, Vinny, DeM, Fernandinho, Silva starting, Aguero...that result wouldn't have happened today....so positive thinking fellas.
