Very quiet on here today. I guess everyone is in shock at that result, how things have changed since last season when we were blowing teams away and playing fast, free flowing football that was very entertaining to watch.
Now we seem to have reverted back to the unpredictable City of old when we can get turned over by any team even from any division.
It's easy to blame the officials again but the fact is we were not good enough to beat a Championship team and i guess we should be grateful that they never stuck 8 past us again.
That defence is absolutely shocking, the way we were pulled out of shape so easily was awful, the full backs are getting caught too far up the pitch as are the CB's, VK has gone from Captain Courageous to a liability Mangala and Demi would have done a better job than the 2 that played. As for Caballero, he had a nightmare. Navas was ineffective as usual and Jovetic couldn't hit a barn door.
2 consecutive home defeats, when was the last time that happened at the Etihad?
The manager has his work cut out to lift the team for the biggest game of the season against Chelsea and Barcelona must be feeling quite optimistic too.

No, I think you only echo what I was saying yesterday MCM about our defence.

They are a shambles, regardless of whoever plays...so that must be down to tactics (maybe that's Begiristain's influence as well Razz)..as you say, the full backs think they are suddenly wingers - especially Zaba and the CB's haven't got a clue who to pick up as the opposition MF's get beyond our DFM's far too easily leaving at times 4 against 3....

Again, this can only be down to how the Manager/Director tells them to play.

What was clearly obvious, was how they run out of legs after 60 mins.....and the Manager says it was nothing to do with such a long journey from AD so late into Manchester. Rolling Eyes

Its the number of times that balls are played over the top of our CB's who are holding too high a line or a ball played through the middle for a runner and VK sits too tight on his man as shown by what almost turned out to be goal of the season if it hadn't come back off the post to spare VK's blushes.
I am still convinced that Mangala is young and will improve, at least he has pace to recover when he fecks up unlike yesterday.
