FA youth trophy: City into the final
Just finished watching the match on the telly. Our boys did well enough, but on 90 mins were down 1-0 following a penalty in the 69th minute. We scored twice in stoppage time, the first a nicely worked move down the left, Barker playing in Angelino, who crossed for Buckley to run in and score from close range. Then a penalty at the death, converted smoothly by Barker, to make it 5-1 on aggregate.
We probably didn't deserve to win on the night, but the boys never gave up even when the aggregate score saw them home anyway.
The final is against Chelsea.
We need to get some of these kids in the first team...

Re: FA youth trophy: City into the final
Couldn't watch it. Should be a cracker against a very good Chelsea team.
I'm actually quite hopeful for some of these lads in the EDS. Jack Byrne now trains full time with the first team, Barker looks excellent and with the likes of Lopes, Pozo, Angelino, Ambrose, Denayer, Facey, Gunn....could we have a class of 2016?

I watched about 30 minutes on youtube this morning and there was some excellent play down the left between Barker and Angelino. Stuff that shows they have an excellent chance and need to be tested more to develop further. Aaron Nemane seemed to have a shocker on the right wing. Missing that open goal seemed to sap his confidence.

Nemane has definitely improved as the seasons gone on, but I know what you mean. At the start he looked awful. But he's popped up with some decent 'poachers' goals lately.
Guess all players can have a bad game - except Navas, Dzeko and TLMLF who are just shit all of the time!
