What is it with Everton?

After watching the Shakers lose 4-1 to Everton last night, it really does baffle me how they keep beating City.
Now i know it was only a pre-season friendly but they really were made to look pretty ordinary at times by Bury. Believe me, the 4-1 scoreline doesn't reflect the game at all. Everton fielded a full strength team (barring Cahill) throughout, only produced 6 decent attempts on goal but scored 4 of them, whereas the Shakers created as many chances but only finished 1.

As i walked out, my mate (an Everton fan) started laughing and said, "we'll probably play worse than that against City but still take 6pts this season". I agreed but it just left me thinking........how the fuck do they do it?

Jeez, i hate Everton.

Since we bought Lescott this has been happening, I think the Everton players have a lot of respect for the mini old piss and they know he hates City so they play like their lives depends on it against us and then lose to westham the week after!

Last match we bullied them and made them look silly for the first half an hour then we took our foot of the gas and they started throwing everything at us with their fans behind them.

The most bitter fans/manager I have ever known!

If it wasn't for the fact they keep beating us, I could quite like Everton.
Decent manager, chairman seems ok (if skint), and have spent a few decades in the shadow of a neighbour playing in red.
Doesn't mean I dont want to smash them 6-0 home and away next season though.

i've probably only been to about 20 'away' grounds and everton's was by far the worst.

To be honest emjay, until my mate kept winding me up about getting beat, i actually didn't mind Everton either. Since then though, i've come to hate them, especially their scummy scally tracksuit wearing fans. This is the 1 result i look out for in the season now.
