I like Fabian Delph

I like Fabian Delph
I really do and think he should get more time on the pitch than he does.
He puts in plenty of effort and can actually play the ball about a bit. He pops up with the odd goal or two and he really does appear to be a team player.
Take the FA cup match yesterday. The last goal should have been a tap in for him but Sterling stole in and nicked it off him. He immediately went to congratulate him. Good man.

It's funny coz when we signed him I was so underwhelmed and argued the point with blue how useless he was. I don't know if it is because he is a city player or he has improved somewhat but I really am warming to him so have to admit I t looks like I couldn't have been more wrong about a player since Craig Bellamy.

Apology accepted.
I've always thought he was a decent player with lots of energy...nothing magnificent, just a solid player - but I have to admit, he's exactly the type of player we've missed since DeJong...no nonsense, high work ethic and good at breaking up play. I think he's added a little more steel to the MF and taken the workload off Fernandinho - so no surprise to see him back to his best as well.

Yeah i always said he would be a good signing & an absolute bargain for what we paid for him. Shame we cant say the same about Bony, Mangala, Otamendi etc etc....

I can say the same about Mango Tony. I still reckon he will be a good signing Otamendi also if he stops going to ground too easy. A lot has been made of our shaky defense in the Media yet we are second or third in the least number of goals conceded. & only by a couple at that.

I have to agree, at first I thought Delph was just a quota signing, but he's really impressed me. I suppose it's no coincidence that his departure has seen Villa go from relegation possibles to a dead cert to be first to drop either.

Otamendi maybe but Mangala I just can't see
And there's no way either could ever be seen as bargain buys like Delph

Fabian should be on the teamsheet before TLMF, we are a much better team for it.

Just heard Fabian out of tomorrows squad with a knock on his calf expected to be back for Saturday though Kolarov back.
