OK all.....probably one of our most important games so far. Time to get back on track with a win and 3 points, against a decent Soton team. We seem to have come in for a little bit of flack from the media and certainly, Pep's credentials in signing Bravo, dropping Kompany and leaving Aguero out until the 79th minute against Barca, has had us all discussing these issues.

So, onwards and upwards....back to the PL and we really do need 3 points on Sunday - not 1.

There's absolutely no excuse to drop Aguero. He's hardly played for 2 weeks now....so will be fresh and with a point to prove.

I'd also like to see Vinny back in the team ahead of Otamendi. Partner him with John Stones. I can see a recall for Clichy this weekend, especially if Redmond is fit. RB is our worry...and I honestly think he may give Maffeo his chance if we go with a 4 in defence. Zaba was run into the ground the other night against Neymar. Or, will he go 3 at the back and go all out for the goals?

I liked what I saw in the first half against Everton with the 3 at the back - we just didn't take our chances, so I'm partial for him to try that again.

Bravo
Stones, Vinny, Clichy
Fernandinho
Sane, Gundogan, Silva, Sterling
KDB
Aguero

Pep says Vinny approached the doctor and said he wasn't fit for Barca....that's why he didn't play.

Loads of Saints injuires so a good chance to get 3 points and wack up the goal difference. Not being complacent, but these injuries are all in key positions. City v Soton Preview Citysaintsinjuries

starting full-backs, Cédric Soares and Ryan Bertrand, have been ruled out because of injury. Bertrand's replacement, Matt Targett, is also injured, meaning that 21-year-old Sam McQueem is likely to make his full Premier League debut. On the right side, Cuco Martina is likely to start in place of Soares Saints have also been impressive going forward this season, but they are likely to miss a key member of their attack: Nathan Redmond has been fantastic since arriving in the summer, but there's a good chance he will be fit enough just for the bench. Striker Shane Long, another important part of the offense, is out with a hamstring injury.
