As a white male, married to a wife of ethnic minority, with mixed-raced children, I don't think this is racist or in bad-taste...but I'm a white male, so wondered what everyone else thinks?

Is it only 'black-men' who are allowed to play 'black men', even in fancy dress?

If a black man was to 'white up' in fancy dress - would people make such a fuss over it?

He was playing a character in my view....that's all. I don't read about his team mates complaining about it....is this symptomatic of our PC society or have I got this completely wrong?

It all depends on the reason you do what you do.  Seems too many times it's a storm in a teacup

That's a coincidence Bluey. I have exactly the same family make up. Must be why we agree on so many issues. It's all just political correctness gone way too far & my wife and kids agree

Just got back from two days at Disneyland. Saw the switch on of the lights for the Christmas tree tonight and no black faces amongst any of the performers. Maybe they don't like singing and dancing...

Watched Brotherhood, the new Noel Clarke film yesterday, have a guess what? Only a few white people in it!!! Lol

I wonder if anything was said to Lenny henry when he portrayed a white man in a film some years ago??????

to the tune of My Mammy sung by Al Jolson. Imagine the fun I had trying to explain to my 18 yr old who Al jolson was & what black & white minstrels were. She just couldn't grasp the concept.
