Everton v City Live Thread
So, after Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs all put in some excellent, goal scoring performances yesterday, we have no option but to ensure we win this game...an also hope for a dull 0-0 later.
Pep has so many options today, with the exception of Fernandinho and Gabriel, as he's known to prefer....
The team have had a full week to rest and train, though it seems some have only just started training recently, Fernando (injury) and KDB (illness).
We need to start quickly, get an early goal and settle into a passing rhythm, but it seems we keep saying that week in week out, and it's only when the second half comes around, do we seem to step it up a gear.
One player who seems to have nailed down a starting place, is TLMLF:

Lets hope we don't give away that early goal in the first few minutes like usual which leaves us chasing the game.

Nijinsky called it right.
Zabba could see his contract extended if he keeps on doing well in midfield as he then becomes versatile.
That's mean Delph gets the boot but he has hardly played for us for the last 18 months anyway so we won;t miss him.

Why Raheem will never be world class, foul or no foul just shoot first time.
His end product is his achilies heel.

says it all about your immediate hatred for Sterling....the ball held up, wasn't as fast as it could have been, otherwise, he'd have hit it first time. Clear penalty - so don't give Sterling grief for something he didn't do.....KDB's second similar ball was again under hit....the grass is clearly wet and long, and just holding the ball up.

no hatred for sterling. you just like to pounce when anyone criticises him. He should have shot first time instead of being cute and taking it near the keeper and the defender.

you just can't be objective because you've nailed your colours to his mast.

It was a foul. It should have been a penalty. But he's brought it on himself with all his diving.

Re: Everton v City Live Thread
I am being objective....watch it again, then watch KDB's second cross he makes...the ball holds up, it doesn't skid across the box, otherwise, he may have hit it first time.
It was a clear penalty....give the kid some semblance of credit instead of EVERY SINGLE WAYWARD PASS by a player, or the slightest of mistakes, you jump all over the players.

He hasn't brought it on himself...when has he dived???? Thought he was a toe-stubber???

Far easier chance than Sterling's!! Let's get on Silva's back!!
Look, if every player NEVER made a wrong decision or a mistake....we and the likes of Chelsea, LFC, United, Arsenal and Spurs, would all be equal on points, unbeaten......

clichy's fault for another dreadful pass.
you can't have defender's who can't pass the ball.

Re: Everton v City Live Thread
Same old same old....not getting the rub of the green, should have scored, then one poor pass from Clichy by itself, wasn't to blame....TLMLF allows Miralles to run off him, Otamendi is far too far off Lukaku and again, Bravo can't get his hand to a shot.
Onwards and upwards.....kick up the arse they need.
Not sure Zaba in MF is an answer to Fernandinho being out.
