I was disappointed that this kid wasn't given a chance under MP and that his loan at Celtic was for 18 months.

I think most people would agree.

But would Roberts even get into our squad now with Sane, Sterling, Jesus, Kev, Dave etc.

I'd like to see him come back this summer and show Pep what he can do. I feel he's not as good as Sane, Sterling or Jesus, so he'll have to step his game up.

He's better than Navas who'll be sold in the summer.....so there's a place for a young HG player.

That's a good point, though Navas won't be sold this summer as he's out of contract Razz Razz Razz Razz Razz

still opens the question of the old, who is going to be shifted on in the summer -

Nasri (is he only on loan still)
Hart (why)
Mangala
Toure
Navas
Sagna
Clichy
Bravo (if only)

thats keeping Zabba and Kolarov as more utility experienced players.

Perhipheral players could be -
Fernando
Delph
Nolito
Kompany
Notamendi

loads of room for Roberts to come back and try to impress?

Clichy could stay as he counts as HG but he wouldn't be near first choice. Same applies to Delph.

Nasri won't come back as he can't get into this team.
Mangala and Navas are gone.
Nolito might actually want to play football, so he could leave. Notamendi should see the writing on the wall and leave too. He can't get into CB because Kolarov is ahead of him!

Several players will leave for definite, so there will be space for him.
I can see Kompany staying for one more season at least.

I think Otamendi has improved quite a bit recently & would be surprised if he left. Same with Toure I have a feeling Pep is going to keep him. If Nasri is correct in what he said that Pep couldn't guarantee him a place in the starting 11 so he went out on loan. If he still feels that way then he's gone. However Pep said he wanted Nasri to stay but couldn't guarantee him a starting birth, If Nasri thinks he is worth a place in the side then its up to him to show the fight. The rest are gone & I think Kolarov & zabba may well be surplus to requirements also.
