Players surrounding refs...

I was listening to TS last night and they were talking about this very thing. Why did the refs start off the season booking players for surrounding the ref, now all of a sudden it's stopped - like shirt pulling? They were saying that the rags are the leagues worst culprits......and just now, Herrera was sent of for continuous fouling and a second yellow. The abuse Michael Oliver got from Valencia and Young, neither the Captain.....he should have just booked them. They won't do it again FFS!

I'd have sent Herrera off after his first booking for his reaction.. to what was a blatant body-check yellow.

the second yellow he got was Jones's fault for racking up the fouls on hazard, Herrera went through him seconds later and ref had enough. soft red but was telegraphed it was coming.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the FA slap a charge in for lack of control after that oune thouhg ina  showpiece game

But seriously, if the refs just book the first player, other than the Captain, that approaches them - immediate yellow for an approach that is nothing to do with them, they'll soon stop it.

The rags are notorious for it, but then again, if you've got that wanker as a Manager, who does the same to 4th officials, what do you expect?
