Building up to the game.

Even though we've got a decent advantage from the 1st leg, it's only two clear goals and they are through.

I think we have to score and probably the earlier the better. They have to come on to us and we need to make a break count with a clinical goal. We can't afford 5 or 6 chances for a goal or we might be out of the game by then.

I can't see him not starting with Sane, Sterling, Aguero, Silva, KdB, Yaya, Kolarov, Big Willy. Probably Sagna at Rb and Clichy at LB with Stones or Otamendi partnering Kolarov at the back.

Sad to say but I think we need Yaya in the middle just to calm things down

We just cant defend for toffee. Im sorry but our defence has been shit all season. Any decent manager knows you have to get it right at the back and Pep hasnt done that all season.

1st half we was shite.. didn't even have an attack on goal
second half we had 10 attacks on goal, 1 scored 
and moanco got 1 free kick on half way and scored from it...

same old shit at the back,  Pep you have to take the blame, always thinking you will score more just doesn't work.    Chelsea or Scum would have ground out a 0-0 there.

I really don't know where we go from here.   Pep can't sort a defence if his life depended on it.

woeful defending far too high a line leaving acres for them to run in behind and failing to track the runners, amateurish at best.
KDB was better second half but his delivery from dead balls is awful.

When Alex Kolarov is by far our best central defender this season we are fucked.  They even ran out of steam we had them on the ropes just to see out 15 bastard minutes, and the morons at the back can't defend a shit speculative free kick.

Bluey, next time you're flying when we play, I'm phoning the airport and telling them you're a mule. That should keep you grounded until we're done

The defending for their 3rd goal was a joke straight off the training pitch so only 1person to blame

We do normally follow up a shit CL game with a blinding League Game though, so who knows Sunday.   But Dippers and Foxes just blow us away normally.

It was so bad I couldn't watch the 2nd half. I just couldn't take it without smashing something. And I only found out the result when I turned on twitter near 10pm (UK time).

They were flying into us throughtout that first half, giving us no time on the ball. Looks like playing KdB and SIlva was  a mistake when intensity was required. But we are so shit at the back and the midfield didn't help our cause.

People forget that we were damn lucky back in Manchester. A lame penalty, goalkeeping error and their eventual tiredness and inexperience got us the win. I said we might regret not scoring the  6th which we should have scored that night.

Ah well...I'm not flying anywhere for a month!!!! Lol

Out of interest. We lose and concede 3.....I'm guessing none were down to Willy? All super goals he could never save? Lol

couldn't tell you blue just woken up to the news we lost read bbc report & then comments on here. Usually a good guide to how it went. Both concur Defense crap.

If we go down the road of flat back 10 ala uniturd & Chelsea then Otamendi & Fernando should have been included in that side possibly the lumbering giant also.

Guess it's all easy in hindsight to ask for the likes of TLMLF, Fernando and Otamendi.....and that's not pointed at you, it's from what's been said on here and listening to callers on TS.....but personally, that was exactly the team that we should have gone with. Now, if the players don't turn up - and by reading the comments, it seems the likes of Silva, KDB, Sterling, Aguero etc didn't do what they needed to do...that's not Pep's fault. It's the players fault....for not having the pride, passion and bollocks.

But I guess what is once again clear.....our defence is FUCKIN AWFUL!

Just watching the highlights of the goals now....

1st goal....good block by Stones (even though some City fans on TS claim he can't tackle or defend) and the usual stationary Kolorov stood there watching his player walk in behind him!  Willy do better??? Would Joe have saved that????

2nd goal.....why is Stones out wide? What's Sagna doing? Why is Kolorov once again, sat in front of the keeper when there's a player free inside the area and other defenders stationary in the 6 yard box? Again...could Willy have done better? EDITED.....Sterling was fast asleep as well.

3rd....Clichy marking space and Kolorov leaves his player (touch tight) and tries to win the header from the free kick/cross.

Should Willy be coming for that? Save that?

Overall...shit defending for all 3 goals.

Haven't seen our chances, saw the Sane goal from Raheem's shot.....but can't make comments on the overall performance or effort...but it doesn't read well.

Watching that video....wow, how many chances to score in the 2nd half??

Aguero was poor.....Sterling and Sane had chances to lay it on a plate - and didn't.

But...as I've said before, wait til the summer. We'll be seeing a completely new defence next season - that's for sure.

I'll just comment on the first goal. I remember that sane just watched it happen. He just let the men go.
