City working on 'massive' signing?

If this report is true (!), we could well be looking at a world record transfer fee. And another top class forward to boot.
Who would you rather spend £100M+ on:
Messi (30 at the start of next season)
Mbappe (18 at the start of next season)
Neymar (25 at the start of next season)

Mbappe and Messi....or either. Not sure Neymar will add anything (unless he's trying to run from the Spanish/Brazilian Courts)....
But rumour is....Messi has stalled on a new contract - so maybe, just maybe.....

Re: City working on 'massive' signing?
I'm torn between Messi and Mbappe. Messi has done it all before an dis the best player in the world. How many years has he got left in him though?
Mbappe is already very good. A little more progression over the next few years (which you'd expect) and he could be a top player for City for the next 10 years.

It's about a statement...Mbappe has already claimed he wants to join Real. If true, why would Pep want to pursue him, when he knows Messi will raise the clubs profile to catastrophic levels for the next 3 years?

Re: City working on 'massive' signing?
I'd be really surprised if we weren't trying to work on a mega deal.
If we did get Mbappe or Messi, would some of our kids be happy to play as squad players (Raheem or Sane) and would the kids in the academy start looking elsewhere?
Everyone would have to keep upping their game, which wouldn't be a bad thing.
