I FUCKING HATE BANKS AND BIG BUSINESS

Absolute tossers the lot of them.

Need to pay some people. Tried last night but my internet business banking came up with a message 'sorry'. That was it. I thought, maybe I'm using a different laptop as I've just bought a new machine.

Tried again today on my regular laptop and same message.

Ring up internet banking and wait over 15 minutes (that's far too long) and it won't accept my date of birth. Now I've known my date of birth for nearly 50 years and can see it as I type it in and in the way they want it entered. Failed twice with the correct dob. When I eventually speak to someone, they say I failed the security and they can't tell me why I failed security and why my internet banking won't let me pay anyone.

They said I have to go to a UK branch to sort this out. Yet they should know that I've rung them on their 'dedicated line' for customers who are overseas.

You just can't make this shit up.

HSBC but they are all wankers. I actually worked out the problem for myself. The payee has changed his details so it couldn't go through. But their page just said sorry so no indication why it wouldn't work. Arseholes. I had to work it out for myself.

It was the banks fault because the message was sorry. Just one word. No explanation at all. I used different laptops just in case. Their telephone banking said I failed security but couldn't tell me why. All I needed was my sort code, account number and dob. It's an automated system so any fault on its part and you are locked out.

I only worked it out when I tried paying a different payee. But what a crap system where I can't go into a HSBC bank in France to sort it out.
