Nothing to stop him carrying on with us if he's still at the top of his game. And an extra £4M in his bank account for an extra season won't hurt at all.

He'll be 34 then and I can't see him being a player that would stay for the money....he'll have done everything by then - when he wins the CL.

He can leave with my blessing. He's been a bloody good servant for the club: works hard, keeps his head down, causes us no problems and sublime skills to boot. I'd argue he should be a legend, only it means I'd have to bugger around with the forum picture again.

Sadly, without a massive redesign, we might have to. We should probably reserve it for players anyway, seeing as we don't have Joe Mercer, Malc Allison or Bobby Manc on there.
