We had 3 city starters last night too.
Seriously though, his progress has been remarkable. If you'd asked me a year ago who'd make it I'd has said Diaz and maybe Sancho. Foden has leapfrogged them both now. Just hoping he keeps on getting batter at his current rate.

I think we've both followed his progress for quite some time.
Great to see how he has progressed and never looks out of place, playing for a club like City, in a position that is normally reserved for the likes of David Silva.
Fingers crossed he'll keep it going, as I said last year, Foden will be The One out of Diaz, Sanchez and Foden who would make it.

Re: Foden the danger man for England U18's
I remember posting some vids on FB last year saying Diaz was going to be a star. He seemed head and shoulders above everyone else back then. For all the talk about Sancho, Diaz still looks streets ahead.
One of the reasons Roberts has gone out on loan again is that I seriously think he's behind Diaz as to how far each of them can go.
Roberts may be slightly ahead of Diaz because of his 18 months at Celtic but Diaz is probably going to go further, faster and, right now, neither would get in the first team matchday squad.
Without wanting to get carried away, I'm hoping that when Spanish Dave moves on in a couple of years time, Bernado kind of fills his shoes with Foden as the backup. Not bad for a 19yo.

Think that's the plan from Pep.
Likewise, I think he had tabs on Sancho replacing Aguero up front....but hey, he's fucked that one up through his greed.

Aguero and/or Sanchez wouldn't be here in 2-3 years time an that's when Sancho could have stepped up to be first choice with Jesus if they were good enough. That's how we get the academy kids into the first XI

Well we're now down to 2 kids who look like they've got what it takes.
We're not expecting 10 kids coming through, but a striker and a CDMF would be very good.
Let's hope Nmecha does well on loan.

Davenport looks like the best of the MF's....
But we have the likes of Latibeaudiere, Matt Smith and Dele-Bashiru who are England capped players....who could push for other positions, along with Grimshaw and Muric in net.

I think the production line is in place and it will start producing very soon. If we can get 1-2 academy players in the first team squad each season that will bode well for the future.
