WBA v City - Live Thread
First topic message reminder :
So...what's everyone hoping for in the United v Spurs game? A battering for the rags would be hilarious. A win for them, not so much. A draw would good, as long as we take advantage of that later this afternoon.
Will Sergio start and finally get his 178th goal?
Let's hope we can get back to some dazzling football. The last 2 games haven't been great...but we won both.
I can see WBA doing what Burnley and Wolves did. Sit with a 6-man defence, 3 in MF and a lone striker...and let us have the ball. That means we need to make sure we get width, drag them across the pitch and them have a quick change of direction, get in behind in the spaces and take our chances when they come.
Don't give them easy free kicks around our area....be disciplined when they have the ball, but break quickly using our pace against their slow CB's when we win it back.
Any streams...please post them on this thread.

Sorry...but Bernardo needs to pull his finger out when he gets the ball. twice now...in shooting positions from inside the box....makes a simple ball to slow everything down.
And I'm not just picking him out...Silva needs to get into this game a bit more so does Jesus.

deserved lead, should have been more though. decent game. We've had the lion's share of possession but wba have put a lot in to the game. some 'hard' tackles, but that's to be expected.

If Silva had scored with his header, this game would be over and we'd have a quite HT.

Well...sloppy goal to give away. Complete control...but that brings it's own problems. Jesus has hardly been in the game. Silva neither.
Maybe more of an incentive to get Sergio on for Jesus.
At some point, they'll hopefully tire as they look knackered now...but we really should have created more chances for all that possession.
Sterling on for Bernardo will stretch the game and give KDB and Silva more space close to their goal.

I think Raheem will cause more problems than Bernardo but can't see Pep making the switch at HT

Yeah, but we need to create a few more chances. We've dominated without creating loads of chances.
Apart from Silva's clear header...we've not worked Foster enough.
Can see Sergio and Sterling coming on fairly soon if it stays 2-1 for 15 mins.

178 needed today...as it's becoming a bit of 'weight' with the press. Get it done today....keep strong at the back and create and take more chances.
Game started.

Get Bernardo off and Sterling on.
