hes a machine, totally unique at least in the Prem. Sometimes I'll be watching other teams play & I keep thinking why are they kicking these random long balls that end going to the opposition half the time, then I remember .. oh yeah he isn't Ederson.

Please remind me why Pep bought Clownio to replace Hart to begin with??

Because he wanted a player who is skilled with his feet to help us play out from the back & build the attacks. He supposed to play like Edderson (I'll let Pep have one bad signing) on the plus side he (Bravo) makes an OK cup keeper & his shot stopping & confidence has improved this season, hes even pretty good in the penalty shoot outs. The truth is you will never have a really top keeper as a 2nd choice goal keeper that's just the reality.

I know all that....my question was more towards Pep nor signing Ederson in the 1st place.
Was he not available...or did he just think Clownio was as good as Edersons turned out to be?
One thing's for certain, he'd have saved us being pissed off for 12mths if he'd have signed Ederson to start with.

No, but I tried to be a little objective last season. He made a few ricks, but many of the goals conceded were down to very poor defending.

Even with Ederson in net last season, he would have been left exposed by the defenders in front of him. 

In Hart, Pep clearly knew his foot-work on the ball, wasn't great. Not sure Ederson was available at the time, he tried for Ruli, but ended up with Bravo. He's rectified that. I think he was correct to get rid of Hart...shame we couldn't have got Ederson then, however, if we got Ruli, we may never have gotten Ederson, so it's all worked out.

Wasn't Ruli one of our own?

Can we just play Ederson upfront against United just because..  :p

Rulli was our and we sold him with a buyback clause. At least I think so!

Makes no real difference...just glad that whatever steps were taken, it's led us to Ederson.
