Injuries again
Last year we missed KDB for most of the season, now before the season gets underway we lose Sane to Cruciate Ligament damage.
No more bad luck please

Re: Injuries again
Biggest concern with this is that it’s probably a fairly long term injury if confirmed as ACL. Means by the time he’s back he’ll be close to the final year of his contract and the vultures at Bayern can get him on the cheap ... unless we can get him to agree an extension while he’s out injured. Would hate to see him go, so much potential.

Re: Injuries again
Sané would be a Bayern player right now if they'd paid City's €150M. I'm convinced of that.
Looks like he could well be out for most of the season. Bayern have 4 weeks to go and buy or loan someone else. If they buy a quality player (such as Bale) then there may be no room for Sané next summer.
He's going to watch watch what they do from his hospital bed wondering where that leaves him. Will they come back in for him next summer or won't they?
He might be worried that they won't, but there will be other suitors like PSG, Madrid, maybe even Barca. But I don't believe City will sell him on the cheap.
But, if his heart, or the hearts of certain family members, is set on going back to Germany, no-one but Bayern can afford him.
So, he's going to sit in his hospital bed wondering what to do. Hs teammates have rallied round with messages of support. So have City fans. Maybe he'll just decide to stay at City and sign a new contract.. Maybe he'll run his contract down. We just don't know.
The injury isn't great for the lad or City either because he's not going to play for a year and that'll leave him with just 12m left on his current deal.
It's going to be interesting waiting for the German transfer window to close on 2nd September.

Re: Injuries again
Bayern signing someone else would be best in the short term for City, but it doesn’t alter the fact that if Leroy doesn’t sign an extension we won’t be able to demand anywhere near as much for him this time next year. The rest of our squad have been pretty vocal in their support for him since the injury, hopefully that helps convince him to stay. Pretty poor on Bayern’s part to let Robben and Ribery both leave without a replacement in place already, they’re so used to getting whatever they want they probably just assumed they’d get Leroy. It’s great that we can tell them to do one these days.

Re: Injuries again
Chelsea still got plenty of money for Hazard so no reason why we can't still command a high transfer fee.

Re: Injuries again
Not arguing with you here Ray! It’s just if he goes this time next year it’ll be for a lot less than the apparent £120m+ we were demanding last week. Someone, not necessarily Bayern, will get a world class player not even at his peak yet for about the price United paid for Maguire. Seems wrong. I hope he feels the love and commits to a contract extension.

Re: Injuries again
If City think he's not gonna sign the contract extension, then I can see him holding out for a further12m to get a HUGE payday. £50M+ signing on bonus and huge wages wherever he goes.
At least we'd know what's driving him.
