Is it over for this season?

I’m the worst pessimist out there when it comes to City, but I’m assuming I’m not alone in writing off our league title chances this season?
I think it will be even funnier now if, in the season we’re off our game, the scousers have their usual meltdown and Leicester win it again.
I still think we’ll end up with a trophy of some description at the end of the season.

It is indeed over, TBW. We could win all our remaining games and still not win the league. My biggest concern is not so much the Dippers winning it, but that they smash the 100pt barrier in doing so. The fact that VAR doesn’t seem to apply to them makes that increasingly likely.

I’m sick of constant match reports that say ‘Liverpool have not played well, but still got the 3 points’.
If they get 100 points it won’t be achieved in the style that we managed it.
I still think they’ll have a poor run yet, but unfortunately we won’t be in a position to capitalise on it.

Unless a giant sinkhole appears in the middle of Anfield whilst they're playing United, sadly, I think it is.

However, I'm taking the long view - the club has made it to the point where they're going to be there or thereabouts for the forseeable future. I just look at the table now, and recall those moments of Alan Ball and Stuart Pearce etc...and then I feel just fine.

I've been saying it's theirs to lose since after 8 games.

We were 8 points behind and they had the bit between their teeth (and plenty of luck/cheating). We were a shade of our former selves.

It's not over til The Governess sings but the way we are playing, the constant injuries we are getting and the spawniness of the Dippers combined I can't see us even getting close this season. Hopefully Leicester will do the country a HUGE favour and win the title.
