Next Season...
It was a great end to our season - winning the Prem is no mean feat and the League Cup was gravy. Think MP did so well in his first season - obviously new to the English league he made a few mistakes early on with away game selections - but totally got it in the end. We all gave DEM and Garcia a lot of stick but they actually came good during the last 10 games or so. Totally trust MP now with the transfer dealings - we obviously only need a couple of players to add to the squad.
Just watched the Everton v City game again today - weekends just aren't the same without any footy to look forward to. Got more done around the house and garden - which him inside is glad of..... . Roll on August then.............

Is "him inside" a football (soccer) fan or is he just an American sports fan?

Re: Next Season...
My cousin lives in Georgia and he and his son are soccer mad as well as American Football. He grew up in Florida but he and his son are City fans because of their family connection in the UK and because they love the players at City.
The coverage of soccer on the ESPN network in parrticular is pretty poor, i was in Florida for a week recently and i continually checked the TV for any footy we only had 2 ESPN channels for sport but it was always American Football, baseball or basket ball non stop.

ESPN did not get the soccer contract for this past season MCM - it was NBC - they have 10 associated channels so all the matches on Super Sunday were streamed live and all the matches this past season were shown. $12.99/month - so good value for money. You were looking at the wrong channels. Fox got the CL and Europa matches and BEIN Sports got the Championship games. NBC paid a premium to get the Premier League matches for the 2013/2014 season.
I wish you'd e-mailed me - I would have clued you in.

You are right, I should have e-mailed you
I dont think we had the NBC channel anyway, is that a separate subscription channel like Sky Sports? The only sports channels i could find were 2 ESPN ones at the rental villa we were in so maybe they did not have cable or something?

NBC is network TV - everyone has it. If you want to watch some of its related networks - where they are showing 4 or 5 of the scheduled matches - then it's $12.99/month thru your cable/satellite provider to receive those channels (which I have). However - 2 of the NBC channels are network (free) but of course City is not on those every week.
It could be diffrent next year though don't know if Fox, ESPN or NBC will bid for the soccer rights. I may have to change sports packages again.
