Raheem Sterling
As you know I'm not the biggest supporter of our No7 but just wanted to know your thoughts regarding him.
It's fair to say I didn't like him too much when he 1st came to City but I admitted he had improved over the past 12-18mths. However, imo over the last 3mths he's become the player we 1st bought again. Wtf has happened to him?
This will probably be controversial, but if offered £100+m at the end of the season - would you sell him?

Re: Raheem Sterling
I think if they sold him that really would be Peps door closing behind him. The whole team is devoid of confidence so a little unfair on just Raheem.
No way are the dippers 19 points better than us. It's just an odd season. Get a couple of cups and close the gap to single figures and it's more than we should be hoping for at the moment.

Re: Raheem Sterling
Definitely not singling Raheem out for blame, he’s just having a bad run and I think he no longer has anything to prove.
But the question was ‘would you take an offer in excess of £100m for him’, and my answer is a simple ‘yes’.

Re: Raheem Sterling
He's been wank for several months. Ever since he was being bigger up as one of the best three players in the world.
I;'d want a bit more than £100M though as whoever we go for will cost an absolute fortune.

Re: Raheem Sterling
He infuriates me when he fluffs simple chances either through woeful shooting or messing it up through overplaying it with an unnecessary extra touch etc, He did it a couple of times against the rags last night the mistake by their keeper should have been buried.

He's been excellent for us over the last year or so but has been awful for the last few games. I think he will get back to his best eventually. Can't write him off.

Re: Raheem Sterling
whilst his overall play has improved no end his decision making and execution are bang average. if he has a 6 yard tap in no problem, or a shot from the edge of the box with time to line it up no problem. It is when he has time to think as in 1 on 1's or a simple give and go that is where he falls down or a shot when under a bit of pressure. I still think he is an excellent player. but for 100 million plus I would sell.

Re: Raheem Sterling
If Sane stays then I would take £100 plus for Razza. Then we would have the money to spend on getting the defence sorted or a proper replacement for Sergio. If Sane goes then unless we can get Mbappe, Hazzard or similar I'd keep Raheem. On his day (a few weeks ago now) he is a world beater.

Re: Raheem Sterling
He has been a fantastic player for us, to me it looks like his confidence has gone. I think Pep should give him a break and leave him on the bench for a month or so.
If that doesn't work then yes I'd take the £100m

Re: Raheem Sterling
Looks like we’re about to find out his true worth to us! Out for ‘several weeks’ according to Pep.

Oh don't wish for that TBW - I look forward to the weekends and the footie. It's a break from the ironing

Re: Raheem Sterling
hey I watch the footie whilst ironing gets me in the other room away from the wife and some of the rubbish she watches. A few scorched shirts in recent times ????

He needs a break, so this might just be a blessing in disguise.
Hopefully he'll come back refreshed and back to his he was 6mths ago.

Now we're getting to the nub of it all - ironing and football do not go together. No way.

Wouldn't want to be holding an iron while watching Raheem makes an arse of another golden opportunity on the TV, or watching yet another penalty failure, cost me a lot of money that TV

Seems like he trying to get himself a move to Madrid.
I'd take £120m and say thanks and goodbye.

He said he's committed to City but I guess there's no harm saying how wonderful Real Madrid are and brown nosing Zidane.
How about selling Razza and bringing in Haaland and Werner?

Never been an advocate of keeping players that want to leave, so if he decides he wants to move good luck to him, as long as we get a decent price.

Very frustrating player I know but I think we dwell on the chances missed without acknowledging he makes so many of the chances himself
