is it finally over
Well it is finally upon us. Confident,Nervous or bricking it ?? as a city fan of 57 years i am of the latter. After seeing the way we dispatched madrid i was full of confidence. I was sure we'd beat united in the cup final. Yet as the day drew near i started getting the what ifs? to the point i convinced myself we would lose. It is now the same with Inter.
My crumbs of comfort are : The waqy we have been playing suggests we should win. The Ref for the final is the same one we had for the home leg Semi. We have only had him once before back in 2017. v feyenoord. The score was the same as the madrid game 4-0.
i have everything crossed for a victory Come On City !!!!!!!

Same here, we all know the Italians will do everything they can to disrupt the game and stop City playing. Fair means or foul.
But we are better than that.

So bloody nervous now, I don’t know why.
I have a feeling there’s going to be an early red, but I think we’d still win with 10 men.

I can't imagine how nervous the players must have been - which was evident at the final whistle when there were a lot of tears of relief, joy and jubilation. Well done the lads - not the best of games but inter were fast and had a good defense. We were lucky at the end thanks to Diaz heading out that goal mouth scramble. We deserved it - it was our year to finally win this - and also completed the treble. Wow.

Re: is it finally over
now ive finally had time to calm down and reflect on a great season. what a game that was albeit not the prettiest by a long chalk it certainly had me on the edge of my seat.so many peaks and troughs.
Silva near miss
de bruyne injury ( here we go again thoughts)
italian play acting and ref falling for it virtually every time.
Akanji mistake letting in martinez
Rodri goal ( absolute perfection placement and power)
Dumfries against the bar a brilliant block on the rebound by lukaku.
Foden clean through good save from onana
getting pissed off with ref for not penalizing sgrabbing in area.
lukaku drags shot wide
Lukaku missed point blank header brilliant diaz clearance
Catch by Ederson through a lot of bodies to calm things down
Last gasp save by ederson from a corner.
Final whistle.
Just seen the new season fixtures are released tomorrow 9.00am uk time.
