Team for the La-La's Empty Team for the La-La's

Post by Moonchester Fri Nov 25, 2011 8:04 am

Theres a few teams bouncing about on other threads and some Nasri, Kolorov, Dzeko doubting going on.

Here's my team to play against the bin-dippers -

Hart

Richards Vinny K Lezzer Cliche

Nige YaYa

Johnson Silva Nasri

Aguero

Would like to see us have a go at Liverpool on the floor and spreading the ball out wide and drilling low balls into the box and pleanty of pace. We would have the options of Balotelli and Dzeko on the bench and Kolorov to come on if we want to get more crosses.

Milner is benched to give Johnson a run for a tad more flair first half, Barry is benched because we all know YaYa cannot be dropped.

Zabba is super sub for any position on the pitch.

From Carling cup I'd like to see our Suarez get to the bench the odd time so we can get him blooded to the first team at some point.

Tbh Moon, we're all guessing at the gaffer line up. As long as there's a marked improvement from last seasons exploits at Anfield, i'll be happy with whoever he picks, as atleast a point should be secured.

I don't think he'll start with 2 forwards and i hope he doesn't utilise 1 of them on the wing either. I think Milner will be rested but for who i just don't know. I'd like to see Yaya supporting the out and out striker, with NDJ and Barry helping out at the back but your team looks ok too.

I think we all would choose the same 'back 5' so that's how i will refer to them in future

Back 5

Barry, NDJ

Milner, Yaya, Silva

Aguero

I want us to be tight as fook at the back. We always let a goal in and we have been lucky that we are usually 2-0 or 3-0 up at the time. If the oppo score first, we'll be under immense pressure.

We have enough endeavour and enough creativity in that side above. I'd much rather have Milner in the middle and AJ out wide, but that means dropping Yaya and that aint gonna happen.

Balotelli is fit, so I go for

the back 5,
De Jong, Barry
Balotelli, Yaya, Silva
Aguero

That's a very powerful central midfield, which maximises cover for the defence, because every game we play now odds are we will concede at least one goal. You wouldn't bet against us not scoring though either, should be a decent game, I just hope we get a reponse from the midweek disappointment.

I'm with you Grated, but I also think Balotelli will be rested and replaced with Nasri, and Silva supplying Aguero, who I think needs a confidence boosting double!

I'm with Topdawg, milner is a must for me as we will need to graft to get control of the midfield and graft is not the top priority for AJ,Nasri,Mario or yaya

Team for the La-La's Empty Re: Team for the La-La's

Finally got over the CL game enough to come on here...(plus I've had a couple o'ales to numb the pain)

I knew on tuesday, as soon as I saw Kolarov and Zabba on the teamsheet, we were in the do-do... lack of pace down the wings, it was like sending a eunuch into a brothel and expecting a money shot.
Micah and Clichy are our best wingbacks, and not playing them tuesday showed that Mancini's main priority is the Prem, so with that in mind, as long as they're playing, we will have penetration down the flanks, Liverpool will be pushed back, and whoever plays upfront will have service into the box, Aguero must be a starter after his brief cameo on Tuesday.
I think it will be a good game, we need to keep Saurez contained, especially with his penchant for theatrics, diving etc, and Lescott's and VK's over zealous marking, we don't want too many free kicks around the box

Back 5
AJ Silva YaYa Milner
Aguero Mario

I hope we stuff 'em, but will settle for a 1-0 away win and a clean sheet.

Bewar - can't see us playing without two holding midfielders let alone none
