I know he hasn't had too much game time, but he seems well off the pace.

He didn't track shrek yesterday for the first goal and didn't even try to win a ball he seemed favourite for for the 2nd. if he gone for the ball with his chest, it would have been dangerous play from welbeck or he'd at least have blocked the shot.

i don't think they'd have got those two goals if barry had been playing which I can't believe as i thought he was indispensable last year

Well, as much as I like Nige, he has obviously been affected by something, injury and/or that cnut Kia jizzlobber. I noticed the Wellbeck goal too, he seemed to pull out of a challenge WTF? I bet Mancini saw it too, and will have a word, he also se3ms to be trying to remind us all about the life and times of Butch Wilkins, the crab, he seemed to pass sideways alot, even in the last 5mins or so when we trying to pull the game back....

I saw the replay on the telly and it looked like Nige was going for it, then pulled out at the last second. Perhaps that dodgy red was on his mind and he didn't want to risk us being down to 9 men. Especially since Foy seems to be one of those who is easily encouraged.

I couldn't believe Nige pulled out and didn't even try to block the shot.

Either it was a bad misjudgement (unlike Nige) or some other reason.

Sad to say this, but if someone on the continent offered in excess of £20M for him, I'd take it.

Unless he pulls his finger out.

I thought he bottled it on first viewing, but having watched again i think the bounce defeated him. If he had tried to clear it first time he'd have been ok, but letting the ball bounce is always a fatal error, especially in his own 18 yard box. Misjudgment, that cost us a goal unfortunately.

I'd never sell him, unless he asked to leave.

Yeah, that 2nd goal was strange. He could have atleast tried to block it, rather than let him have a "free shot". I also agree that he doesn't seem to have the same appitite as last season, RM needs to find out why and address it (especially now Yaya's away).

Is it just me or could Pants have done better too?

Pants could've been better. But then again, it's not like he gets much game time and there's not much rotation when it comes to goalies. Plus he's only faced half baked competition in the CC up to now. I rememeber how rusty Given looked last season when we called on him.

Sounds plausible. I think we were all expecting Nige to get to the ball first there.
